I dont think so. Venus is too close to the Sun, thats why everything went catastrophically wrong on Venus. It had a runaway greenhouse effect. Had Venus been in a further orbit from the Sun, it would have definetly harboured life on it.
Venus doesn't have a magnetic core. Even if Venus were exactly in line with Earth, the Gamma Rays, X Rays, Microwaves and UV Rays would be too extreme for life exist. Earths magnetic core protects us from most life damaging electro-magnetic radiation.
We will most likely never know, and hey, another life form does not have to have human traits. There water could by liquid nitrogen, their oxygen could be cardboard! Venus doesn't have a magnetic core. Even if Venus were exactly in line with Earth, the Gamma Rays, X Rays, Microwaves and UV Rays would be too extreme for life exist. Earths magnetic core protects us from most life damaging electro-magnetic radiation.

We will most likely never know, and hey, another life form does not have to have human traits. There water could by liquid nitrogen, their oxygen could be cardboard! In case you didn't know, it's called adaptation. Maybe the life forms on Venus can survive in that heat. They don't need human qualities.

ok, seeing as none of you's actually have done any research on the planet... it's an ICE planet... it has been said that the planet could sustain life... it has water (h2o = 2 parts hydrogen & 1 part
OXYGEN...
OXYGEN = HUMAN LIFE!!! human = you & me) & supposedly is able to hold microbial life...
We can speculate all we want but at the end of the day we never know until we've been there!! All great or known facts come from human trial & error!

ok dude do more research before you comment next time, first off, there is no water at all on venus, its all acid, which can not sustain life, also, the pictures taken were by accident, it was meant to go to mercury but was pulled down to venus, it lasted 20 minutes before it was completly disintigrated by acid.

It's an ICE planet? Its closer to the sun than the Earth! Why would it be colder? Secondly, the Russian Venera probes landed on Venus and took measurements: the amount of water on Venus is negligible. Third, your "logic" about water=h20=02=life is just rubbish. Even IF there was water, the temperatures are way too extreme. It rains sulphuric acid there. fourth. Oxygen can only be used for biological metabolism in its liberated form, not bound up with a hydrogen atom in a molecule of water.

I wonder why the US is reluctant to send cockroaches to Mars ;). I meant what's the value of the creature for being on earth? ha ha including mosquitoes they seems to be cause more problem here on earth than benefit...i just want to see how cockroaches trying to survive on Mars. Nevermind if they died hahhaa. Anyway i do kill cockroaches in my toilet almost daily i don't know where they come from? They should be send to Mars for experiment.

anything is possible....we should send all the waste to mercury or venus or so other damn useless planet lol...Our country should start spending more money on science and education so we can improve technology and make trips to other planets faster..it will taske years to get to mercury but if technology and science improves,we can one day get there way faster,maybe in an hour haha. if we improve our economy,it wont be expensive sending all the crap to other planets.....haha

What a funny coincidence last night while i was sleeping three cockroaches was martyring themselves to avenge against me for proposing them to go to Mars ha ha...They crawl on me while i was sleeping which i thought they were centipedes. I woke up and kill them again!!! You see again!!...They should be send to mars. No question about it..

It is true that Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system. But what you don't realize is that Venus got the same temperature and atmospheric pressure as earth 50 Kb up in the sky. Will take some genious enginering to get a few huge stations being constructed that can skim atop of the hotter atmosphere.

Sulfuric acid, you mean.
And many missions have succesfully touched down on the surface. The probes have never "melted" due to the acidic atmosphere. Sulfuric acid can easily be warded off. How do you think they keep it inside car batteries? Probes have conducted tests on the surface and taken several pictures. On the other hand probes have failed because of the tremendous pressure on the surface which is estimated at 75-100 atmospheres.

you need water and oxygen for humans to live there, plus soil for plants to grow unless you use hydroponisc--besides the temperature is hotter anyway because its closer to the sun..
