not if you paut a counter spinning flywheel and and can get it to adjust the amount of pressure on a caliper and viola! you can accelerate and brake at relatively high rates of acceleration

I would say you'd have to learn how to use it properly so that you can still slow down at a safe rate but you don't "lock" it up to where you would start spinning. Just gotta limit how hard you use the brakes.
