  • Triangle "grip" is more for the upper-back, a bit wider with your hands and the elbows to the stomach while doing pushups, and u have yourself a triceps exercize!

  • would this work using the wall, i am a amputee and its hard to get up from the floor.

  • @needtolooselots what limb/limbs ? my step dad lost both his legs above the knee. he uses this same exercise. you could do it against the wall too i suppose more reps needed though. good luck.

  • @needtolooselots I think you could do this move using a counter top or table top. put a tea towel or something on the edge of the table/counter to stop putting too much pressure on your palms/fingers. imagine a 45 degree angle or less. that would be better than doing it against a wall. it would not be as hard but thats easily solved by increasing reps. In fact I often do these press ups against a bench if I am feeling a bit shaky from my other exercises. Happy new years to you whenh it comes.

  • You DONT need to be buff to be healthy....some of the strongest people I know are shredded but not insanely buff! I like a balance between the two, human flag here I come!

  • @TrancedNRG just do a few a day and progress to more, its because you have not got enough muscle to do them correctly

  • i tried this today and when i done 1st push-up, my back start to crack(like you do with fingers), 2nd was same and then the rest was ok. Nice way to get my back to original shape xD

  • Do far hand push-ups help the triceps too? I can do 60 far hand push-ups continuously, but I can only manage 20 close hand push-ups.

  • I called them Jailhose triceps push-ups: use a empty camping gaz bottle and position both - 3 seconds stop low and explosive moviment to above

  • its better to make a fieldgoal rather than a triangle. triangles add unnecessary strain to your wrists

  • Actually that's very bad on your wrists if you just do them on your palms. Do them on your fists or use push-up-stands!

  • Instead of doing a 'normal' type of pushup where your toes are touching, make your knees touch the ground instead. The first part of the video shows this. If you've already tried this, I'd try just not going down all the way....maybe just go down halfway. Good luck!!

  • Another way to work up to a full pushup is to do negatives. Start in the up position and lower yourself to the ground as slow as you can, never compromising form.

  • every morning i do 50 regular push-ups and only 35 of those. Those are a bit harder; they target a smaller set of muscles; the triceps.

    in the above exercise, you are using less chest muscles (bigger muscles) and more triceps muscles (relatively smaller muscles)

  • The best way to do does it to touch your chest to your hands. Do 'em on your chest they combined with other push ups and chest exercises ;)

  • it look like you were doing diamond push-ups? ummm i got a question whats the difference between diamond,knuckles, and regular push-ups i know diamond is the hardest push-up besides 1 hand and 2 fingers :)

  • diamond works the triceps alot and a little inner chest, regular overall conditions the triceps, shoulders and chest, and knuckles puts more on the chest, and strengthens the forearms.

  • in the triangle one you are working more the triceps, open arm pushops you are working the chest. In the triangle one you are workin a little bit of inner chest and forearms too. the same thing with the other one. Pushup with knuckles im not sure.

  • i usually do 3 sets of 30 triangle pushups. 55-60 seconds break between sets. 3 sets of 30 triangle pushups. all the way down all the way up. what do u think?
