I liked Powell (if I have to choose a military types) quite well until he sold the war to the UN. It was a complete and total lie. We were all betrayed.

Powell is not going to be rehabilitated in my book even though he endorsed Obama. I see this as more of a savvy move on Powell's part than any genuine endorsement.

Obama jumped the gun by suggesting Powell might serve in an advisory role in an Obama administration. Would Powell be the right person to officiate over the ending of the war? NO.

Politics have become so skewed these days. I have no doubt that both sides are using propaganda to take positions, but look at what has happened in the past 8 years, we've had an almost entirely Republican view on the world due to the presidency and the media stranglehold in our homes. Gen. Powell didn't say he was endorcing Obama because he was black. He said he was endorcing Obama because of his ability to inspire, he's rational, how he's remained calm in spite of the false attacks, etc. An intelligent person doesn't vote on base but who is the right person for the country & most of us agree with Powell.
