Hey E39 owners, I was thinking about getting a 530i, honestly how unreliable are they? It's the only thing that's putting me off.

@WhatTheFproductions Very reliable cars, they do have their issues like every other car. One example being the Water pump which is known to die out on you. It would be a good idea to go on the Bimmer forums and check out what those guys say.

i guess that the volvo is one of the most powerful cars in this video, because the most powerful "normal" E39 has 286 hp and the S60R has 300 hp. maybe there are a few m5 or chip-tuned bmws. i myself own a bmw 525i and a S60D5

Well your right but not really . I own a 2000 Bmw 540i M sport 6 speed 286 horse power with 310 ft lbs of tourque .

The Volvo S60R came out in 2003 about 4 years after the 540i .

Granted it has 300 HP and 295 torque .

1. I would rather have more torque than HP. (seeing how turning power is more important.)

2. Bmw has way better suspension.

3.Volvo did not have a 6 speed version till 2004.

4. The e39 540 was way ahead of it's time .
