  • Cant you just do : f(x)=sin x

and explain mathematics behind it ?

  • Wait, aren't you supposed to use period/4 for the intervals?

  • please be my math teacher. please.

  • WHAT HAPPENED TO PIE/4?

  • yaay! i know it now

  • This is the best conceptual explanation I have ever watched. Thank you. Now I understand why the sine function is the way it looks in the book.

  • Thank you this helped a lot!

  • Fabulous video- I FINALLY GET IT! Your graphics and explanation were perfect. I feel so much better prepared for calc next semester. Thanks, Walt!

  • Can't stand the voice...need the help though. lol

  • Can you not use radians? @_@ and use degrees instead?

  • @Supernova12034 I think thats just basic form for how its done, because its referring to a different spot in the unit circle.

  • calculus, precalculs, trig all suck balls

  • @xa0wnerx im a fourteen year old guy., i studied this last year,

    im a filipino

    middle school/ highschool

its hard for our age and we are in the star section

  • Awesome explanation and graphics to go along.. Not everyone learns the same and I learn by watching and finding the logic behind formulas and how they relate to previous material. Definitely wish u were my prof too. :D

  • My precalc teacehr is a beach. I wish she was like you.

  • would have been helpfull to have an example equation like for example: y=5sin2(X-35) +17. And for you to take an example equation and show step by step on how you would graph it. Because THAT is the kinda stuff i need help with >.<

  • why didnt you use pi/4??? i wish you were my teacher btw... he sucks .__.

  • thanks mate this helps a lot :)

  • i think it's okay if y=sinx but it gets slightly confusing when there are coefficients added or if it's y=sin (x+b) or something like that.

  • Teacher Walt, do u speak Sine Language?

  • I'm pretty sure he does >.>

  • Thank God! thatnk you so so much. that has helped me a lot.Awesome teacher!

  • VERY Helpful! :D

  • Thank you so much! I had to write an essay on this and I had no idea what to say!

  • This is a GREAT explanation. Thank you so much.

  • wow this helped me so much!

  • Maybe if my teacher taught this way Id get this.

  • Thats one of the best explanations ive seen. if the teachers explained it that way when i was in school i might not have had to study so much

  • so do you always use these angles to graph sine function?

  • Yes. Multiples of Pi/6 are the easiest to use. So I always use these when I want a quick sketch.

  • Beautifully taught. Now i know the concept behind these trigonometric graphs! It makes sense.
