  • This was a great show and Im glad to see that they are doing this much with the content that they collected.

Nice to see that every one of these clips has a comment section with a bunch of douchebags who just read The Fountainhead.

Yep, dildo...the people who have the money in this country have it because of their ingenuity and hard work. Thanks Paris Hilton for all you have done. The greatest minds in history learned/taught/created under the shadow of a church that would kill them forit.

  • lol, a quote from Eugene Debs? Epic Fail, considering the policies of Debs and Marx were discredited over 50 years ago by Von Mises, Hayek and Rothbard, and continue to be discredited by Paul and Reisman.

What's next, a quote supporting Creationism and Spontaneous Generation?

  • Is this what I think it is? A fucking socialist propaganda??

    hahaha

    nice try.

  • If freedom existed there'd be no justice system. The reason we have a justice system is because we know instinctively that most of us couldn't handle total freedom if we all were ever cursed with it.

People who think a business-based oligarchy is "freedom" simply because it's not government as they've been raised to envision it imposing its will are not thinking clearly.

  • that statement clearly shows u dont believe people can live freely. only while people Believe this will it be the case. if the thought and belief is chaged on a global scale we can live in freedom. Granted to achieve this isnt no simple task lol

  • As we exist today, no I don't believe large societies could survive if we experienced true "freedom."

True freedom is anarchy. Humanity is currently incapable of the masses producing the self-control and responsibility in order for modern civilization to survive.

Maybe after we fix ourselves, if transhumanism becomes reality, true freedom would be possible. As we exist now, by fault of our evolution, we couldn't survive total freedom without regressing to the stone age.

  • Well mybe true freedom is anarchy,

But a society with just freedom (unlike winner takes it all of today) can sustain.

All you need is thos in power can be witrown of their post by thos who they represent. Also should those representatives not have any privilages. If they endure the same life as us all, they will work hadr make it a beter life.

When suche a social system sustains all reason to be unfair will disapear and so the crimes.

This is when the state gets unneeded will die of

  • Very interesting animation style but I think the Opposing a Social Order was much more engaging, visually pleasing and well done.

  • This order must always exist or freedom is lost for ever and those who claim to have a wretched existence will have nothing

  • I do nothing.....

    But I did something once....

This once was more than your EVERY DAY

    and I will be paid.

Wether that is by making fun of you until the economy successfully collapses..... like it well is on its way to

    or

You stop your bitching because you weren't smart enough to think of it.

HAHAHAHAHA..... 10 dollar an hour faggot

  • great message but horrible animation...

  • the last three were the same

  • you guys who called this lame are idiots and that makes me realize why some people make more money then others, anyways great video

  • simple but good. 5/5

  • Those "Subscribe" arrows at the end of the video really fail with the new youtube layout, dont they

  • from where is the "all men are created iqual"? i think ive heard it somewhere else apart from all the vids from aniboom

  • benjamin franklin said it .. it cames on te eua constitucion.. the part where it says all man have the right of looking for happiness

  • oh ok, thanx XD

  • nicely made

  • It needs facts. I like it, but it doesn't have anything to go on so I don't think it should be a finalist.

  • It's very deep into one of Americas problems...thus I disagree.

  • I think it is one of our biggest problems as well. But I know so many better videos about Capitalism and I think that those who don't already believe in capitalism running America will not get swayed by this video. All I was saying was that it could be stronger.

  • Agreed.

  • This does not sound like history it sounds like socialist rhetoric. It Also sounds like total bullshit coming from an individual with no understanding of how businesses are run.

  • he knows, we all know!the workers are just slaves that don't need feeding or taking care.We don't know anithing eles so we think this is all right! We can have a better live but surrely not in our lifetime!!

  • What are you talking about? We are not slaves here. I dunno about Romania but here in the USA even our poor do better than the rest of the world. Because we are free. Our freedom has lead us to be strong. Even though it looks like we might slip into that socialist BS i am confident that our people will wake up before then and kick these bureaucrats out. This greed being brought on by these commie jerks should be dispelled.

  • Ever heard of the frog in water experiment? You should research it, it's a great metaphor.

  • Good animation with a strong message! I enjoyed it.

  • I work hard everyday, and I still have barely enough to pay my bills and put food in my belly. I love this cartoon. It makes plain what is really going on. It's not socialist. It's the truth. For those who say that hard work makes you successful, lemme ask you this: Do you have a Jaguar in your garage? When was the last time you left the country and didn't have to worry about how to cover your missed work days when you got back? Do you have a private plane? If not, STFU.

  • pretty shitty animation..

  • pretty shitty comment, It's the message it sends not the effort that went into it that counts. + it's far better than anything you'll ever achieve in life-but i suppose you like being a troll

  • Can you do better?

  • Yes.

  • Actually, it's the people who do nothing to scrape a wretched living. Those who are successful worked hard for it; people just whine and complain about it because they're too lazy to get successful themselves.

  • Another pro communist pick of the history channel. This time they throw up a straw man argument that is based on a lie. That those who make a profit and employee people to do so are "doing nothing", Link this to their last pick and we are seeing the clear socialistic globalist bend of the History channel.

Not surprising but a sad remark on their bias and one of many reasons to stop watching their nonsense.

  • ok???... im frustrated! =S

  • i didnt get what was the video about just 1 person who keps all the monky i dont understand

  • (all the monky?)

I'm not sure, but I think they're talking about communism.

  • If your thinking of Communist Russia over Stalin's rule that's Stalinism or any other dictatorship, Communism is everybody getting everything equally. This video is probably more about capitalism.

  • this is the american dream guys!

  • That is why they hate it.

  • are you retarded? aniboom is a site like youtube, only for animation. they don't make the animation; they just post it.

  • dude this was sooo great :D

  • Great way of depicting it. :) Favorited. 5/5.

  • Great video on how governments are rounded around the world.

  • how is this a finalist

  • Agreed.

  • heck yea communism :D

  • well done short film!

  • Perfect depiction of our current issue.

  • yeeeahhhhh

  • Yes, we should eliminate the division of labor and have everyone go back to agrarian living as we did 300 years ago. Those were the good old days.

It's not like those evil capitalists who do nothing do anything with that money. They just swim in it, so why not take it all and give it to our best friend the State?

  • This is just how it is... human nature. Promise wealth and power, then get slaves. It is so sad.

  • I think SOME people have mistakingly confused communism with equality and fairness.

This video isn't asking for communism, it's trying to let people know that upper class people are, for the most part, benefiting from the hard work of the middle-class and lower-class' hard work, though hardly doing anything themselves, and that's totally unfair for the majority.

I also wouldn't like a communist system either, but I don't wanna live in a world that benefits the rich over the poor everyday.

  • Yes, people are mistaking communism. Spread the wealth around, and everyone ends up poor. That is why communism failed. Perhaps what this video is talking about is capitalism, but I disagree not only with the premises, but yours as well.

The wealthy create jobs from the top down. Even simple things like higher power consumption means more people can work because of their amassed wealth. Lets face it, wealthy spend a lot.

In America, with good ideas and hard work, anyone can be successful.

  • yes - but when a wealthy man amasses dozens of expensive vintage cars worth billions of dollars (or similar luxurys because let's face it you dont need a car collection you 'work hard' for it because you want it)

and then you have a poor family who had a mother and father both 'working hard' just to keep a roof over their family of 4's head and all mouths fed.

Point is - why do just a few get to live so comfortably with their 'good ideas' and 'hard work', and everyone else starves?

  • Because not all people are equal in ability, just equal in opportunity. Theres a reason a rich person is rich.

  • Correct and the nonsense here is that those who employ others and create and run companies are "doing nothing".

  • I think it refers more to politicians that do nothing but kiss ass and collect taxes and augue over whats best for the country based on there own wants and needs

  • Well as much as I hate politicians I don't think even I could say they do nothing. But I would have to also say I still think the target of this video was companies and their owners.

  • Indeed!

  • /Point is - why do just a few get to live so comfortably with their 'good ideas' and 'hard work', and everyone else starves?//

Without those few, everyone would indeed be starving like they did in the Dark Ages. Fortunately, Capitalists have raised our standard of living immensely. They don't deserve credit for this?

  • @rockandrock44

indeed, tremendous advances in production have been made under capitalism. but on whose back have they been born to fruition?.. the workers. Many continue to live in a modern version of the dark ages. This beloved capitalism can create nanotechnology but can't solve global poverty! What insanity! Just because advances in production have been made under capitalism does not make it the epitome of societal organization. humanity can do better than this bullshit.

  • @eye0thetiger

Capitalism hasn't been able to elimate all poverty, thus we should eliminate Capitalism in favor of a system that has killed millions and fails every time?

I don't get your logic. Besides, much of the poverty in the world is due to oppresive State regimes violating individual rights.

  • capitalism necessitates class oppression in order to maintain itself. you pass off the disgusting conditions many on this earth must endure as a mere quirk in an otherwise wonderful system. capitalism has created global poverty, exploited an environment that now sits on the verge of collapse, perpetuated class divisions (racism, sexism, nationalism, homophobia, etc), fuels our world's insatiable want for war, + makes a royal farce of democracy. capitalism fails humanity every single day.

  • @eye0thetiger

Global poverty existed well before Capitalism. Government intervention has not raised us from the Dark Ages. War is a product of the State. The environment is not on the verge of collapse (stop listening to alarmists that say the sky is falling if we don't use more force), and class divisions are perpetuated by socialists (evil rich vs the poor).

  • if you look any further than the name of countries past and present that have claimed the gauntlet of socialism, it is not hard to tell they are socialist in name only. for example: there was no democracy, the working class was horribly exploited and did not hold authority, production was not run to meet human need but rather for economic and military pursuits...the list could go on for a mile. not to mention the absurdity of having one state be socialist in a global capitalist system.

  • So, do you support the current "Social Democracy" system in Europe, or is that too Capitalist for your liking?

  • The wealthy do create jobs. and who is more wealthy than the government? The will of the people combined.

  • unfortunately the money behind the government has had the upper hand by keeping the entire country divided by race, gender, and political party (just to name a few).

  • Yeah, in America anyone can be God. Thats becuz there are to much dumb people in one continent. America is 2nd most pollute country in whole world. So if they don't destroy the earth so who will do it ? Maybe other 3rd world country ? Watch The Zeitgeist movie to understand...

  • Uhhhhh what?

  • anyone can succeed, but what are the chances that man is you? think about that for a moment.

  • I'm succeeding quite well, thank you. I am doing it through hard work. The staple of Americanism.

  • Socialism is derived from the Exploitation Theory and the Labor Theory of Value. It's been discredited for a long time by marginal utility and the work of Von Mises and Reisman.

These ideas are present in the quote. And they're totaly BS, economically and historically.

  • @CalvinDWalker You DO know that Eugene Debs was a devoted socialist, right?

  • @wharghoul ... and?

  • All these "History Channel Finalist" animations are so misinformed, and badly made... I have yet to see one that I liked.

  • thats because in the rules they submit unfinished work and if your picked you finish it and the history channel takes it and uses it

  • nice short movie.. and funny comments :)

  • if anyone wants to go to communism be my guest but remember it failed hahahahaha so ur basically stuck in a third world country , Cuba

  • If You think Communism is good then get the heck out of the USA

  • This reminds me of 1984 in a sense, because if all of the poor people protested and rebelled, CEO's could do nothing to stop them. However, they are kept in there place under the lie that if they work hard enough they too can get to the top. It is rarely true.

  • employers that pay less than a living wage are evil and they are many. a system that values the ownership of property over honest labor is corrupt. Why should the hour an employee spends working be worth less than the hour the exec. spends figuring out how to not pay for health care. This video describes exactly why this system is flawed.

  • This smells of CLASS WARFARE.

There is more to life than MONEY.

If someone didin't have a job to give you wouldn't have a Job. Unless you live in a comunist country where you are worst off.

  • but the basic idead of communism atleast makes sense

  • To bad they have so much trouble keeping the store shilves stocked . The weak inslave themselves.

    Only the Brave are Free.

    Pease comes through strength,

    The rest are Prey.

    So stay strong

  • and learn to spell.

  • I like how weve come to believe that we can only live for ourselves if we give handjobs to people we think are better then us

  • Good point. So many people have their noses up the bosses ass so far all they smell is sh*t

  • @grendelee this is my favorite quote on youtube

  • I think the problem is that some of the "less fortunate" or "poor people" grow up with a mentality that that's just the way things have to be, so they don't try hard to get out of it.

Then again there are some "more fortunate" or "rich people" that grow up thinking they don't need to work to be successful.

But then again, there's the argument that money doesn't buy happiness... whether you choose to believe that or not, is entirely up to you.

  • agree to a point, you can do whatever you want in life it doesnt have to be bound by what society demands of you, i know homeless people that are happier than some millionairs, money is just paper with numbers on it that happens to now be an entirely too successfull means of keeping people under controll. the gilded cage scenario.

  • Money can't buy happiness? I beg to differ, it can't buy "all" happiness, but I know tons of people that would be a lot more happy if they didn't have to live check to check working their asses off a at a job that doesn't provide any benefits.

  • An unknown force makes your family and meaningful possessions move to a new country and make sure you have no idea of how to contact them. The only words you would hear from them would be how poor and sick they are from another party that visits them. Your legs are bruised so it will always be next to impossible to walk unless you received artificial limbs. You would also be diabetic. HOWEVER!!! You will be rewarded 6 billion dollars in return. Happy?

  • Oh joy, creating pointless hypothetical situations:

    1. Money can pay to search for missing family

    2. Money can pay for doctor appointments to keep you or others healthy.

    3. Money can pay for advanced prosthetics and research to allow mobility to the paralyzed (stem cell research anyone?)

On top of without money people go hungry, they're happy to receive cash to eat, have a roof over there heads, get an education, etc.

Claiming none of those things make people happy is just pain ignorant.

  • I appreciate that, honestly.

I don't know. I can honestly run out and buy almost anything that I really want to. It is just that, I got the money from dad when he died. I am currently being educated, and things like that are nice. You learn the best lessons in life the hard way, not through a little bit of cash. I wish that money would have taught me some of the things I know from experience now. The statement is rather subjective. Existence isn't joy in itself. Regardless. Thanks.

  • I realize and I wasn't trying to be mean, rather I'm trying to point out that so many people seem to try and make the poor - lower middle classes situation seem like it's "not that bad" when in reality it really is a terrible place to be that brings sadness and frustration, much of which (not all of course) could be solved with a bit of money.

  • No issue. That is your opinion, and I respect it. It brings a lot of forms of security and ability. I guess it depends on who you are talking to ultimately. I didn't think about that variable until now. I appreciate it. Anyways, I hope you have a pleasant day.

  • I see the point, and I love it!

  • i dont get why people believe that rich people dont fucking work

people work for all their lives to get where they work

poor people assume that they must have had a rich father

they assume that rich people are lazy and all they give a shit about is money

whereas even if poor people dont do shit people assume that they must work 3 jobs, even if theyre lazy

if poor people are lazy it doesnt matter but if its a rich guy they assume hes got so much money he doesnt know what to do

    fuck obama

  • well... there are kids who are BORN rich, they dont really work o.o

  • even if there are rich kids they work hard too

not all rich kids inherit a fortune 500 company

not saying that there arent lazy rich kids

but its annoying when people generalize wealthy people as good for nothings

its often that rich people work their entire lives to get where they are, and poor people dont do shit

thats not saying that there arent lazy rich people, or hard working poor people

    there are

and obama is trying to justify taking hard working peopels money and giving it to lazy bums

  • i kno i kno , i see where u coming from but im just saying that som kids who r born rich dont really have to work, i agree i dont like stuff like that but just giving a small example

  • Actually a ton of those "on top" DON'T have to work nearly as hard. There are plenty that do, of course, but there are just as many more that are born with family that has connections.

If I've learned anything thus far, it's that when your trying to get a good job, it doesn't matter whether your a great worker, have more than necessary education, etc... because if someone else applying against you has a friend for family friend in the company odds are HEAVILY stacked in their favor.

  • im not saying there arent people that dont work to get where they are, im just saying that people assume that if someone is rich, they didn'thave to do anything to get there

  • Another Robinhood Massage...

The Rich will just leave if you keep this us

and then what does Robinhood have...???

    They Leave Becouse they Can

  • This is stupid. 'One man who does absolutely nothing'? You mean the men who raise and run huge manpower?

I dont like money grubbing corporates either, but they are far from fat mindless tycoons, in fact they are doing more to ensure they are practically stealing from us.

  • Nice

  • good idea. some times a simple conception makes good films

  • I love this vid.

  • Okay... What can I say. There was a stop motion clip that ended... yeah.
