That is the feeling of NOSTALGIA. WOW, We need new memories we have to support the new generation of talented Haitian artists MACKENSON LOUIS, HAITIAN V & BELO. Look them up and you will not be disappointed. If anyone know they websites or where they are performing please post it. These guys are the best at what they do.
this music is so smooth, and for you haters on here writing stuff like this music was brought to Haiti from Cuba, you don't know what you're talking about get your facts straight. This is island music African drums mix with latin beat that's what makes this music and all caribean nations have that vibe. We were the first free ones so why would we bite??

I too have seen these comments but I do not believe all the propaganda about cuban influence that is written or said. Elderly haitians have assured me that troubadou style of musical ballads have existed in Haiti since colonial times.
According to past history the music of Haiti such as Troubadou and other styles entered Cuba during the Haitian revolution and became the creative force behind all of Cubas new music beginning with the cuban Son (chan-son). It is a mistake to say that Haiti owes its musical legacy to Cuba because it is actually Cuba that got the influence from Haiti.
Also we need to remember that's what make us creole our roots from Afrika either u r Cuban Brezilian Dominican Puertorican and others because of Motherland everything that we do from food to musik even our clothing don't forget the style of dancing we will look like one another at the end of the day, people seems to forget about that part.
How come haitians don't like oldies? I like black alex 2007 n 2008 canaval songs but no one listen to them
