I forgot what a great fight this was. I remember Roger getting his trunks pulled down, but forgot the other questionable stuff. They really didn't like each other. As far as comparisons, on a good night, either of these guys could beat anyone out there today. That weight division has always been strong, and always will be.

@jalidav1 I have watched it since the age of 13 and he went to Kronk Gym and Livonia Boxing Club and I still wouldn't say I know boxing from a technical aspect. I know fact and figures, but that is different than knowing fighters abilities is what I'm saying. On paper on would have said the Roger give Sweet Pea all kinds of trouble. Because of his jab, reach and ability. Yes, Pea was able to hurt Mayweather but he completely outboxed him.

I don't know if you have a favorite fight of Whitaker's, but I have a couple. # 1 was when he stepped up to fought 140lbs and Rafael Pineda for the IBF Jr. Welterweight title. Whitaker didn't run in that fight, but rather stood there and defused a very powerful puncher and physically stronger fighter. Greatest exhibition of boxing I had ever seen. Beating RM is #2, Pea was at a physical disadvantage and out boxed RM.
