Hey I did everything on here.. But I cant use the market? I tried to sync my GMAIL but it doesnt work. Also is it just the aospcMOD or is there a actual "cyanogen mod file" Thank you

@Lconroy8 you have to download the google apps and go through the recovery to install those as well

I got a little freaked out because I got stuck at the Cyanogen boot animation but I did some research and found that doing a factory restore, then installing the Cyanogen rom did the trick! Anyway, I've really been wanting to upgrade to Gingerbread but I know Virgin Mobile will never roll out the upgrade and I found other guides too complicated. Kudos for making a tutorial for humans! This guide was a sinch and it only took about a half hour.

when i get to recovery mode, it only has 4 options and they are in blue. None say back-up

i have the LG G2x and i really want to root my phone , but when i try and use the one click method it always stop at #6

@donta1221 you might have to extract all the files to one folder before rooting and then right clicking to application (if you're in windows 7) and run as admin. =) hope this helps

Thanks for the video. Do you know if there is any way to get the older version of android for the optimus v (2.2.1, I think). That way I can still have regular android, but get back the wifi hotspot ability? Any help would be great!

@timmyguy13 You should do steps 1 and 2 just to get superuser of your phone. and then download either wifi tethering and or barnicle from the android market. and it should enable you to tether your phone for wifi. Wifi on your phone should be turned off when using your phone as a hotspot.

@fl0b0ts Ok I just fixed the link for the rooting. This should clear up that problem so you can have root access to your phone. sorry about the bad program. It;s going to be the 2.1.1 version which i just tried on my phone and It works!!! I hope this helps.
