If you look at his record, all of his recent losses have come from being KO'd or TKO's from strikers-wrestlers (Chris Leben, Rich Franklin, Quinton Jackson, Chuck Liddel, Dan Henderson, CroCop) that know how to sprawl-and-brawl. Cung Le has a solid wrestling background and the technique to keep the fight standing. Silva hasn't KO'd anyone since 2008 (glass jaw Keith Jardine) and his last win was a stolen-round decision win over Michael Bisping.

First of all I do train in kickboxing, I dont compete but some of the guys at my gym do. Also, I have grown up playing sport,, and one thing I have learned is that luck always exists in a competition. Luck is always a factor, at any level. Fact is Kongo can only control one aspect of that event, his punches, there are a multiple things that have to fall into place perfectly for something like that to happen...so yes his talent and training mixed with a little luck got the job done.

Cung Le is an amazing fighter. Smith's win over Le was particularly due to Cung's lack of stopping the fight in lieu of showing off. He's very skillful but sometimes all the flashy kicks aren't necessary. He could have easily won the fight very early but he left himself open and it shattered what could have been a flawless record. Regardless, both good fighters and I will certainly say that watching Cung Le is always very entertaining.
I LOVED this fight, Cung did exellent boxing, exellent kicks, and he even did grappling!!, the way he did that Guilliotine, Cung was awesome in this fight

From experience, they're hard to block or dodge. Your best bet is to defeat the instinct to fall back and actually move forward (aka bullrush). However, if you do it too late, you will only magnify the power of the kick.

First of all I do train in kickboxing, I dont compete but some of the guys at my gym do. Also, I have grown up playing sport,, and one thing I have learned is that luck always exists in a competition. Luck is always a factor, at any level. Fact is Kongo can only control one aspect of that event, his punches, there are a multiple things that have to fall into place perfectly for something like that to happen...so yes his talent and training mixed with a little luck got the job done.

Cung Le is an amazing fighter. Smith's win over Le was particularly due to Cung's lack of stopping the fight in lieu of showing off. He's very skillful but sometimes all the flashy kicks aren't necessary. He could have easily won the fight very early but he left himself open and it shattered what could have been a flawless record. Regardless, both good fighters and I will certainly say that watching Cung Le is always very entertaining.

i will never call a one punch mma win luck I am huge cung fan but that is the sport a homer in the 9th isnt luck, neither is a pick 6 when the game is tied 4th quarter, neither is a three at the buzzer, smith just pulled out a dramatic victory again just part of the sport. in mma the better man doesnt always win, thats the beauty in basketball and baseball the better team always wins, and most of the time in football and even boxing too but mma is different if youre on your feet you got a shot

From experience, they're hard to block or dodge. Your best bet is to defeat the instinct to fall back and actually move forward (aka bullrush). However, if you do it too late, you will only magnify the power of the kick.
