That is one of the kindest and nicest things I've been told in a long time! I'm humbled and thank you! It is just now one more incentive to make the trip possible someday:-)
How I wish it were so simple as just the VISA issue. But my husband and I are too leveraged financially for a European trip right now:-( We paid a small fortune in property taxes this month and need to spend money fixing up a town home to put on the market...if we can even sell it. So Estonia will have to stay in my dreams for now....
One doesn't have to know even one word in Estonian not to hear the beauty in these voices, composition, and arrangements! Thank you for sharing this with those of us in the US who would never otherwise hear it:-) I hope to get to Estonia some day in my life although I never expect to be lucky enough to afford it.
This is the best song in the movie (although all the songs there are great).
Ehala was only 30 when he wrote it. And the amazing lyrics are by great Estonian poet Juhan Viiding, whose life ended prematurely in 90s (suicide).
F*ck, I always cry when I listen it.

I see. But I hope you can still come someday :)
The song itself is from a movie called Bumpy (Nukitsamees).

Quick clumsy translation of this song is:
Where is your true strength?
In your hands or in your head?
Where is your true strength?
The only basis of your life.
Where is your true strength?
In your heart or in your head?
Where is your true strength?
Among forgotten feelings.

Your true strength is not
separated nor apart.
You search and find that strength
..
Find that strength.
Search it in courageous calmness.

Sorry, second line must be:
"In your hands or in your legs"

Olav Ehala laulud on peaaegu kõik, kui just mitte tõesti kõik väga head ja legendaarsed. Imeline :)
Ta ise on ka hästi tore ja viisakas inimene. Juhei!
