@LeslieViv24 - When the car was picked up by George, it was out of gas. Since Casey was the last person to drive it up to that point, it's safe to assume she ran out of gas and left the car in the Amscot parking lot. When George put gas in the tank, it ran fine, so it's also safe to say it ran properly up until it ran out of gas. Casey said the gas gauge wasn't working right, but George and the police proved otherwise.
She drove into the parking lot. She parked her car next to the dumpster (to help disguise the stinch). The two guys she claimed helped her push the car are NOT REAL. It's just another Casey LIE. She then calls Tony to pick her up, she rides with him to the university to drop off his project, and they spend the day together.
From what I understood, she backed her car up into the spot and she didn't run out of gas. I will have to check my web slueth again sometime about that. Thanks for taking time to make these videos Dave!
I think the cameras recorded material on constant loops. I don't know what length of time before it recycles again. It could be a week, which is a lot when you think about it. A hard drive can only hold so much info and it's not limitless. It must purge in order to go through it's cycle. Besides, the car sat at the tow yard for most of that time and no one had a reason to pay attention to it.
Problem with writing over magnetic media is this. The FBI can dig up anything that was ever written on that media back to the time it was manufactured. As long as the media is intact (e.g. hasn't been incinerated or melted) it can be viewed.
So the Amscot cameras record over images captured on previous days?
There was a big theft of office building construction materials in the business section of my little town. It was assumed to have taken place sometime before sunrise of a certain day.
The cameras outside of the Cumberland Farms Store & Gas Station, which closes at midnight, showed absolutely nothing. They were worthless to the investigation.
I do believe it went like you said. she sputtered into that parking spot from the shortest way in. Too bad there was nothing taped by that security camera. I guess its just for robberies or crimes that are happening there, not for some dimwit running out of gas and leaving their car at the Amscot. Nice video from your new camera! Keep up the good work!
Hi, 8675tree09 - Thank you. As for Casey, I guess it all depends on what type of video you are talking about. There is no video from Amscot, that I do know.
Was the car working normally when the cops recovered it? That's pretty important. Cause she could've drove there intentionally. Just sayin'.

Casey parked that car next to the dumpster so people would think the smell was coming from the trash.

No doubt, I seem to have the credits down. Now, I need to learn how to better handle the camera, especially when I zoom.
