My dad passed away 4 days ago. I spoke to him the day before he passed. Unfortunately he was in our country when he passed and due to a money issue and my expired passport I couldn't make it to see him or burry him. @trixtom1 I am so sorry you have to go through this at such a young age. I also lost my Dad and I know how much it hurts. Please know that though it my not feel like it now but the hurt does get better. It never goes away though.You will never forget your Dad but one day you will realize that the memories of your Dad are mostly happy ones.God bless you young man.

Just lost my dad a few weeks ago. I'm only 13 and never thought that the doctor would tell my mom and I after my dads heart transplant that his lungs were filled blood and clots. They said he lived a good life and that it was unfortunately time to end. We all said our goodbyes. Yesterday was his memorial and I was looking for a song to play. I love the song! Thank you! My dad passed away 4 days ago. I spoke to him the day before he passed. Unfortunately he was in our country when he passed and due to a money issue and my expired passport I couldn't make it to see him or burry him. I never told him how much I missed him or loved him while he was alive but i hope he can now, he was there when my son was born and held him so that makes me happy but thank you for this song, I can dedicate it to him I hope he responds to it in my dreams.

this song is really awesome. on behalf of all the people you help make it seem easier. i thank you. and im jst gettin use to losing my pops. lost him back in may. we werent the closest of family members. even tho i was named after him, birthdays were 9 days apart. me and him always went neck n neck at each others. but when i lost him i felt so lost and hurt. because last time i seen him and last words i heard from him "jr come" i jst turnt around walked away. and to this day i regret it. . . . .

@mrJonbarker65 I lost my father in 2007, just 11 days shy of his 85th birthday. He was an exemplary member of what Tom Brokaw has called the Greatest Generation. He went from a poor Great Depression kid to an (unsung) hero in the Pacific, on Saipan. An autodidact, he read voraciously up until the last few weeks of his life. @mrJonbarker65 Joava Berbo-Phillips never new his biological parents. But I love him as my son and intend to adopt him as my son-&-heir, as this should be legally doable, even though he is now beyond the typical cutoff of 18 yrs-old. He's a fine young man.
