Gene, my husband, Jonnie Barnett and his co-writer Rory Lee wrote this song. It was recorded by Clay Walker in 2000, then by Charlie Pride. You did it justice and I know Jonnie would love you singing it. Unfortunately he died in 2002, but did get to see the success of this powerful song. Check him singing it on You Tube. Barbara

Great Song. Good Stuff!! That is the kind of Country you don't hear anymore. Last night my husband and I saw Chris Isaak. I would call him country although I'm not sure if he is classified as that. His brother joined him and they sang two songs that were the old country, like what you were singing. That is the good stuff. =0)
