gloves and handwraps are made to protect the hands and wrists in case you punch wrong. they dont really lessen the impact or atleast not enough to notice. you could do more direct damage to pressre points without gloves tho, but in a street fight gloves dont really make a difference besides protect your hands.

no actually a shaolin monk would just gouge his eyes out and hit him in the throat killing him. stuff like this isnt martial arts. martial arts are designed to kill someone, in combat. kung fu was developed throughout thousands of years of warfare and physical study. many schools now teach watered down "sports" which may accout for ignorance on the subject matter. toughness=/=skill

well if i had a video of the guy from our school that went to a ufc qualifing match in canada and knocked one of these dumbasses eyes out with a single mantis hit then i would, but the pussys tried calling the cops on him so he had to dip out. real martial artists dont fight these guys cause it's a WASTE OF TIME their rule system creates an enviroment where that it the way they have to play in the real world they'd get pwned seen it many times.
