  • You should try to find some of his less 'standard' stuff where he really cut loose - you won't believe the technique and artistry of this guy! 'Jazz As I Like It' is a great album, but there are several others. Most of what you will find on here is his 'jukebox' cuts that were very popular in that time. No matter how fast he played or how 'jazzy' it got, he NEVER 'went over your head' by playing 'outside'. Everything always fit and always would give you goose bumps!
