  • dommage.......... :( tres dommage

  • GO YANKEES!!!!!

  • les expos de montreal la fierté des quebecois

  • Fucking Montreal the place where fooking hockey rules...Stupid ass city...Bring back the most beautiful sport...

  • And Now your starting lineup for your Chicago Bulls!!

  • if the olympic stadium was downtown then the expos would still be alive. no attendance because of a stadium designed for every purpose except baseball in an unpopular part of town. there was supposed to be a new stadium two blocks south of the bell centre, but the province didn't put money into it and now condos are on the lot instead

  • @habfan123424 It was because Quebec was closing down Hospitals at the time, and funding a new stadium would be insulting. At such a time.

  • The MLB worked with the owners to move the team out... If this was an american city, MLB is giving it money to survive. MLB did dick all to help the expos, so players were willling to take pay cuts to stay... instead its the fucking biggest joke in the MLB.

  • the Nats are an eye sore, they should move to Halifax, leave "nats park", and go to halifax and move into a 10000 seater with orange and blue seats, with a retractable tin roof and cardboard walls... and stil that would my preffered space over washington.

  • What also makes them a joke is thier slogan is "Natstown". yeah, a city with a million people can only get 15,000 to the park a night, thats a united fan base? trying to copy something like "Red Sox Nation"... fuck Bud Selig, MLB, and the owners that got the expos out.

  • I like the Expos but there was not that much people at games. Can anybody tell me what was the Expos wort attendence record was

  • MLB EAT SHIT. You took our team away. BOO BOOO BOOO. Could of been the team of the 1990's and 2000's

  • EXPOS FOREVER!!!

    LORIA SUCKS

  • people had to give up on them just because they had loseing seasons if fans just went to c them and cheer for them and made sigens stay in montreal refuese to leave

  • I miss the Expos so damn much....

  • Watched the Jays & Nats today - still seeing EXPOS Uniforms in the stands -

    GO EXPOS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .

  • And the people with 'em were going for who?

  • wat really

  • go to kansas city or pittsburgh and you'll see that selig is giving way more chances to the american teams cause the worst thing in all of that is that we had the best farm system in the entire league for so many years a lot of superstars who had pass in the league during the 90's and even today in the 21 century where originally drafted by mtl

  • yea ik pittsburgh has no fans kc has no fans and look at the marlins no fans just because it rain in south fl every day in the summer for 10 min but their geting a new stadium with a retrackable roof i think in 2011 it will be ready and yea ur right the blue jays had a losing season since 1995 the expos ended the season somtimes in 2nd but not enoufe to clinch one year but i wish they stayed because i used to go up there every year havent been to canada since 2004 i was only 11it was fun

  • @bobette999999 SELIG DOESN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT CANADA. If he doesn't die soon, we'll lose the blue jays.

  • mlb/used car dealer selig wanted out of p.q., out of canada...

    blue jays you are next!

  • more than what they are today, the washington nationals? really?

surely you're kidding, or you don't know your baseball history. Montreal had a great tradition, but with the economy going bad between 1995 and 2004 (worse than now with the loonie at 85 ¢ US today!) it couldn't afford those fat cats that made the game what it is today.

  • you wanna know what sucked for the expos, in 1994, they were one of the best teams in the league and probably could have made it to atleast the nlds, but of course, the strike shortened the season

  • Screw the yankees, Red Sox and jays! When all the morons who kicked baseball out of Montreal are all gone and the game will finally be cleaned up, then perhaps my city may get another shot at the Big Leagues (hey, Washington adopted our expos, maybe in another 30 years it could be our turn???) In the meantime my favorite team in the NL is the one with the most world championships after those damn yankees. Look it up!

  • you cant be mad that the expos left its your own cities fault

  • the cardinals?

  • I still miss the Expos - and wish they were still here in Montreal. Do any of you other Expo fans get the same stupid question I do? It goes, "Oh, you must root for the Nationals now, right?" Usually, I ask them what their favorite team is (usually the Yanks or Red Sox). Then I ask them, if they moved your team to say...Topeka, Kansas, would it still be your favorite team. "No. Of course not - that would be stupid". Does anyone else have this conversation?

  • Its just too bad that nobody actually cared for the expos until the final days when they finally realized they took their team for granted.

  • with the grand prix gone for good now the stupid montrealers who boycotted the expos for so many years can regret it even more. The city wanted to give grand prix owner a shit loads of money to retain it, why not spend that money on a ballpark and get a team back to the city!

  • was there ever a sell out at that stadium

  • only at the 81 nlds and the final game.

  • no, 2001 home opener was sellout too and the final game wasn't. 49k on 2001 home opener and the game after about 4k, final game in 2004 was 31k

  • Make a research before made an iditotic statement. In the late 70 and early 80, the olympic stadium was full with an average of 50 000 every game...

  • im happy the nationals are sucking wind in dc, with lame attendance in a new ball park and a horrible team to back it up.

  • i dont care, im not canadian. i just think it's ironic.

  • Yup--the EXPOS were it for me. Damn I miss them.

  • damn its a shame they left i really enjoyed watching them

  • with good ownership and a competitive team they would have been fine, it's a shame really...a smaller downtown park...and the ability to keep the young stars might have saved them.

  • If you've been living under a rock, Montreal LOVED the Expos..its just that Major League Baseball screwed them over bigtime. Montreal would have fans sell out the damn stadium in the 1970's and 1980's. And Montreal produced a hall of famer in Gary Carter and soon to be Andre "the Hawk" Dawson.

  • Minor league games get better attendance than Expos games.

  • true, and they're gone for that reason now. In hockey it's the same in some american cities. NY islanders get less attendance than Québec Remparts in Quebec Major Junior Hockey league. NY islanders get between 8000 and 11000 fans per game and Remparts can get in the 15000s sometimes. It was the same for Halifax Mooseheads of the same league a few years ago. A normal QMJHL team have 2000-4000 and a NHL team 16000-20000.

  • The fans did'nt care for them in 81 or 94. Expos fans are not baseball fans, their hockey fans.

  • they did in 94 the baseball strike running them with lots of fans to haley any fans the expos could of made it to the world series in 94 but after the 94 strike they had trubble winning games in 81 they had alot of fans ik they had alot of fans until after the 1994 season i read all of that online so ik what i taking about

  • i think its best they left but its still a shame

im sure theres plenty of baseball fans up there in Montreal

  • r u talking to me home boy

  • uh no im talking to all expos fans

  • ight

  • too bad samael 18. montreal is very bilingual, how that makes it the worst city in quebec is beyond me. if it wasnt for mtl, people would not know what quebec is.

  • Bring back Les Expos to Montreal, again! I miss them!! Then there will be 31 major league teams!!

  • Quel beau vidéo. C'est toute ma jeunesse qui me reviens en mémoire. Delino, Marquis, Moises, Larry, Rondel, Weteland, Fassero, Pédro Martinez et Vladimir Guerrero... que des souvenirs!

  • Ta yeule and learn english. It's not a hard language to learn given that you possess half a brain.

  • I can speak english -_-,I just don't want to,anyway english canadian didn't learn french, why I should put an effort to speak it?

    Crissez nous pacience

  • what's wrong with him..he's a fucking italian is wha's wrong..fucking gino's..im not a quebecois either because i stand as a canadian, or a montrealer...but hey, anything is better than those greasy italians

  • What is the name of the background music??

  • Great tune to edit to. It's The Alan Parsons Project. The intro is called Sirius and then the song is the title track of their 1982 album "Eye in the Sky". Cheers!

  • I Still Will Say 2 This Day, Bud Selig Is Anti-Quebecois & He Is Francophobic. 2 Reasons The Expos Left Was A. Bud Selig Wanting To Eliminate The Canadian Market (Don't Be Suprised If The Blue Jays Move Soon) And B. George W. Bush Is Mad At The Country Of France & French People & He Took It Out On You Quebecers. He Racially Profiled You & Had Some Strings Pulled To Move Them To His City, Washington DC. It's A Shame Politics Played A Part In The Expos Moving, Because It's The Underlying Truth.

  • as an american, I was saddened when the Expos left but it wasnt politics but as you can see even in this video.. .the seats were empty, hence no money and eing baseball is a business they moves. I am as anti bush as the next guy and i can assure you it wasnt a political thing also if he was anti french why would he take it out on canadians?

  • Because Quebec Has Been The Butt Of Many A Joke Both In Canada & The United States, Because Quebecers Speak French, Because The Steriotypical Quebecer Male Is Metrosexual & Female Is A Loose Woman. When I As A American Take Up For Quebecers And Spit On Those Steriotypes. I Love The Expos Because They Were Quebecs Team, Not Canada's. I Love The Habs Because There Quebecs Team, Not Canada's. Canada Don't Even Love Quebec, They Want Them Out On Their Own. VIVE LE QUEBEC.

  • well if i owned canada i would trade u Quebec 4 Boston, Mass

  • For the Red SOx

  • Yanks are way better than the Red Sox

  • fuck yea man

  • What Areal nice video. Sad day in baseball when they left!

  • I,m A Born Expos Fan And A Also A Long Time Indians Fan, But I Know Quebecers Did Not Have A Team To Fall Back On When The Expos Left, I Cryed Many A Night After They Left Because I Wanted To See The Smile On All Of You Quebecers Faces And On My Faces, I Have Many Friends In Quebec And Though I,ve Never Been There And I,m All The Way In New Mexico, I Feel What You Guys In Montreal And Everybody Else In "Expos Nation" Felt. VIVE LES EXPOS!!!!

  • Good to see the expos fans from other parts of the country, VIVE les Expos indeed, sorely missed

  • Fantastic video! props!

Montreal is a real nice city.

  • Our boys of summer have been gone 3 years now, & this city has a big hole in its soul. Very little vision left in this city. They even stopped a Cirque du Soleil project from being built. The Main has lost much of its old glory. Streets in such pitiful condition, your car feels like a roller coaster. Bagels, smoked meat (less Ben's), & the old port can't replace baseball. As a native Montrealer, never thought I'd say this but Toronto is starting to look better. GO EXPOS FOREVER!!

  • nice job!!!

  • I miss the Expos, I wasn't really old enough to understand why they had gone but I do now. Montreal has some of the greatest sports fans in the world. Montreal loves baseball.

  • expos are coming back and so are the boston braves boston needs an n.l team 2 u no

  • I miss the Expos so much. Does anyone have a place I can go on the web to hear some good expos songs?

  • I Want my Expos Back :(

  • what did they show this on the scoreboard or something?

  • I wish. No, this is the video that I made on my PC after a trip to Montreal in 2000.

  • oh then you did a professional job my firend

  • I miss the Expos. It even makes me sad to see how empty the stadium is in that video. No wonder they left. I get a bit of satisfaction at the fact they're the worst team in the MLB as the Washington Nationals tho.

  • Great tune to edit to. It's The Alan Parsons Project. The intro is called Sirius and then the song is the title track of their 1982 album Eye in the Sky. Cheers!

  • i LOVED the expos.. i miss them alot. btw whats the name of the song used in this video?

  • They may have had a small fan base, but they had a very loyal fan base. My favorite memory was being there when Brad Wilkerson hit a grand slam with 2 outs, 3-2 count, in the bottom of the ninth to win the game 4-2 against San Fransisco in 2003.

Let's not ever forget the Expos.

  • Thats how I'll remember Montreal...The Expos...Whatever that name means...

  • Expos. From Exposition. The baseball team was named after the highly successful World's Fair or World's Exposition or Expo which took place in Montreal in 1967.

  • I miss the expos, I hate the Nationals.

The Expos did what I believe no team had done for the city, such a wonderful franchise which did so much for baseball and developed talent like no other deserved respect from MLB.

    Long live the Expos!
