Which one is easier to clean ?

Do they have to be plugged in to the machine or can they be plugged in a wall socket and used alone?

I want to make hot chocolates. Not coffees. Does it heat milk enough?

They plug directly into the wall and can be used independently of a machine.

Yes, you can make hot chocolate in them. For best results, froth your milk and then mix your hot chocolate in your mug.
