It's hard to say one band is better than like a huge worldwide influence like Metallica, but I do believe A7X is the more talented band.

He was singing at the Glasgow show, seriously I could only see his mouth moving because of the loud crowd, looked quite funny though! He has a lovely voice, in my opinion :D And he's amazing at bass and he's rather hilarious, like the others (: He really needs more attention.

well he doesn't suck at playing bass, that's not what i meant to say. I'm sure he's capable, but definitely not the best. He just doesn't contribute to anything to the band. If he did write his own stuff I would respect him more

You mean like how his bass notes sound exactly like the guitars (obviously bass version). I kind of noticed that too. I'm not a huge fan of that also. But Blinded in Chains has a sexy bass solo. Still love the band though :)

@Melermometal he doesnt just "double the guitar " hes awesome!!! at least compared to other people who try to play the bass. in their self titled album theres lots of examples that show hes capabable. and theres some cool stuff in city of evil too.

well the bass lines most normally correspond with the guitar lines in metal. maybe he wrote some cool basslines and syn and zacky made guitar lines based off that, never know

In more melodic genres they double the guitar. Not always in other genres. I prefer bass lines that mix doubling and counter melodies, like in prog genres. RIP The rev
