I lost 150 from by-pass and haven't had any problems with re-gain... I would do it again in a heartbeat... I can't wait until I get my lower body lift next month!!!
Wow! This is actually pretty serious stuff. I hear a lot of bad stories from people who've had the gastric bypass surgery. My aunt gained her weight back. The excess skin is pretty impressive to say it nicely!!! wowo
@Jibbie49 Of course, this 50% -- (I'm just accepting that statistic for the purpose of this comment) -- is considerably lower than someone who does Weight Watchers, NutriSystem or Jenny Craig. The rate of recidivism for those programs (for people with 100 lbs or more to lose) is 95%! That means that only 5% will maintain their weight loss for any length of time, compared with surgery, where success rates are higher (50%?). Bottom LIne: Bariatric surgery is a tool the patient must use -- or lose.
WOW....

50% of people who have WLS regain ALL the weight again after 2 years, so your Aunt isn't unusual.
