Follow the reaper had a really shitty production quality. Guitars are too gainy and you couldn't sistinguish what was playing what. Thats why Hatebreeder is my number 1. Best produced album in my life next to Death's Symbolic.

im thinking you might have a bad version then, because follow the reaper is one of their best produced cd's. on my cd version that i got like 5 years ago everything sounds amazing. on hatebreeder you can tell its age just by listening to it. the vocals, drums, and guitar were obliviously recorded with lesser equipment. hatebreeder is still an amazing cd, but the production quality is NOT the issue between the two.

Michael Jackson has sold so many albums, but does that mean that he is in fact better than Children of Bodom or Symphony X? no. More Money does not = better quality. They used a different producer on that album and all it takes is one person make a mistake.

yeah they are. Of course if you spend lots of money and you have a good producer then you will find that the production quality is better. But even still if you have less money. decent equipment and a great producer its going to sound lightyears better. Try learning a song by ear off of follow the reaper and learn every single not that is played. It is possible, but it is much harder to do than something off of hatebreeder. Hatebreeder is clearer and sounds better.

Like I was saying, It also depends on what you listen to it through. I'm listening to it through a pair of high end recording studio headphones. This means that I don't have some shitty equalizer built in to change the original sound of the music. I am hearing these songs in their original form without anything changing the tone. Hatebreeder sounds more clear than FTR. You can hear every nuance, every note that is played by every individual musician. FTR you actually have to listen intently.
