Awesome...amazingly reverent...powerfully revealing!! Wish from the bottom of my heart I had been a privileged pilgrim in that era...even desire of trips to Lourdes is not realistic for me...but the profound message of peace & conversion are real throughout the ages!! All that is in my means is to pray for Peace, Spirituality & of mine & mankind's Healing of physical, psychic, emotional & spiritual ailments & faith crises!! Simple Answer. Only Catholics believe in such. Protestant churches rejected any veneration of Mary. Another important reason is that perhaps since only Catholics are blest to see such, it a sign from GOD that the true Church IS the Catholic Church. Remember the opening line: For those who believe in GOD no explantion is necessary; for those who do not believe in GOD, no explantion is possible.

Jennifer Jones justly won the Oscar for her beautiful performance in "Song of Bernadatte" This is a great movie that deserves to be re visited by those who have seen it and discovered by those who have not. Director Henry King who directed Ms. Jones in this film would follow with two other fine JJ films

Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, and Tender Is The Night. Seen together the three films reveal an actress of talent and great artistry.

Very moving....if anyone has seen the full movie, this brings it all back in less than 5 minutes. Especially moving, when she washes herself in the "River", and is riduculed as a pig, and insane...but then what happens later, millions come to believe. Really moving...good music too.
