  • Just dont release them back in the ocean

  • @animals621 You are absolutely correct. These birds were oiled in San Francisco Bay (Cosco Busan, 2007) and were released into Tomales Bay, Marin County, at Heart Desire's Beach. No oil there.

  • What are the cleaners, chemicals and solutions that successfully clean these birds?

  • @durgaaa We have successfully used Dawn dishwashing detergent for years. And it is donated by Proctor and Gamble. Several cases have arrived at the Gulf oil spill rescue sites.

  • @durgaaa

They use DAWN its safe on animals :)

  • Correction on the credits title: should read OILED WILDLIFE CARE NETWORK. This is the first video I made :) I used a $99 Flip Video camera, which was just out of the box.

  • @MyWildlifeVideos Thats cool. I always like seeing people save animals. I remember i found a wounded bird on the street by my house that couldnt fly for whatever reason. So I picked it up, drove it out to an animal hospital so it could get proper treatment. Never called back to check its status, but I'm satisfied I did what I could to help it out. I also fed a stray cat tuna fish a couple months ago.

  • @Campbell7204 You did exactly the right thing!

  • the biggest help for every living being on this planet would be if everyone would stop the pollution..before its to late

  • Good Job Guys!

  • See this film on the big screen as part of the Bay Oil Spill Video Project at the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival, Feb 1-3 at the Cowell Theater at Fort Mason Center.

The SF Ocean Film Festival's Bay Oil Spill Video Project is supported by CREDO Mobile.

  • As of 12/21/2007, 404 cleaned birds have been released back into the wild. Wildlife biologists fear that more than 20,000 birds may ultimately perish from the disaster.
