you understand the concept of a tribute band, correct? the point is to look, sound, act, ect... like the band you are tributing, not to mention, Kurt gave credit to The Pixies numours times for influncing his music... The Pixes created the sound Nirvana popularized... The soft, loud, soft, loud style Nirvana has in it's music was "borrowed" from other bands, it wasn't Kurt's "own thing"... the feeling in his voice is what made him famous, not because he created a style.

My point is, Tribute bands and celebrity impersonators (the musical ones) are their own genre with there own following. you and I may think this is lame (and it is) but there are a lot of people how can't write good music of their own, so they act like other performers.... Britney, MJ, Elvis.... there's alot of money in it and there are a lot of people who would just as soon see a fake, lame as it is.... but i understand your point too.
