I went to the Tribute to Nick Drake concert at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall last night with my wife, brother, and 2 friends.
This was the first song of the encore. I found this HILARIOUS!!! People around us were sniggering, too. The lyrics are woeful! (e.g. "I said you're tall, He said no taller than tomorrow's ocean") WHAT?!?!?!
This song is a great example of how songwriting can go badly wrong when you take controlled substances!
You are lucky to have gone to that concert! But au contraire, I'm quite taken with this song; I happen to love the lyrics, they are simple, but I get the feeling he's recalling an odd dream...but then I'd love to hang "at the corner of time and motion," 'cuz that's just how I roll! ;-) Cheers.
Fair enough, almondgrrl. It's not my cup of tea, but each to their own! It'd be a very boring world if we all liked/disliked exactly the same things! Thanks for replying to my comment.
Love Drake love Robyn. They would have been cool collaborators.

"...you take the whole world with you"
Brilliant song.

It's great to know that Drake's influence can still be heard in such a well-preserved fashion today--especially by Robyn H.
