In the Jap version she can join at lower levels. It's something like all the characters levels divided by the number of characters = Yuffies level. Plus Counter-KoTR, Counter-Mime lets you summon with no MP cost, miming takes no MP and the summon failed in the first instance.

um what he meant was that you could download the game. i'm not sure about where u live, but where i live, it's impossible to find a copy of the game, new or used, and im not allowed to buy off of eBay, so the other option is to download the game. u could download the ps1 version of the game and play it on an emulator. but if you can manage to find a copy in a store (if stores even have it anymore), it's nicer to actually own the game itself :)

u may as well download the pc version, its an extra 500-700 meg but meh, that and it is kinda a hassle getting all the patches and stuff to get it running, but meh i could never get my disc 3 working on an emulator or anything so i just downloaded the pc version

haha yea the advantage to the pc version are the patches, but they're mainly for appearance (like character upgrades and backrounds). the ps1 version on emulator is faster to start playing with lols, but i guess it's just preference.

This is amazing. Brilliantly planned. Just goes to show you that this game can be beat by pure strategy.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO SAID IT'S FAKE:

Get Yuffie early in the game, kill her and keep her dead in your party. She gets no EXP.

Final Attack linked to life. Also, Counters linked to both KOtR and mime. That way, the mime requires no MP, but will mimic KOtR.

Sources are obviously a Godsend to this guy. That's how KOtR can do so much at a low level.

It's simply strategy with Materia.

and before you yell but they auto gain levels... thats ONLY IF they're not in your party so like i said before kill the person you want to have a shit level by the end of the battle and no exp for them and if they stay in your party then wablam you now have lvl 6 barret, (japanese can have lvl 1's i know) or in this case lvl 2 yuffie against anything... though i dont know how she used kotr or life 2 with so little mp

actually if a party member is dead at the end of ANY battle they do not gain experience for it so technically its possible to fight even sephiroth with a lvl 6 barret lol... this was part one of my comment

Plus, with all of the materia Yuffie has equipped is impossible the airetam attack could do 1 hp damage even with big guard on, since the damage it does is based on the number of materia you have equipped.

I think some of you are not considering the fact that bosses cannot be escaped and that they give EXP, it's impossible not to level up in this game at least a level or two, If only I could understand japanese, I don't know but in the American version clouds starts out at level 6 as well as any other party member that come around even when you don't level up, so Yuffie level 1 or 2 it's a big fat lie!

As far as i can tell this is possible. In the japanese version of this game you can get yuffie at level 1. Weather you can do this late in the game or if you must keep her dead the whole time, im not sure. When mimicing attacks you do not use any MP.

I'm not sure about emerald shot, but I think if you do any attack and then mime it, you don't expend MP, which is what I think's happening here.

Yes KOTR requires more than 14 MP which is why it says not enough MP the first time around whenever Yuffie uses it.

You're not paying attention. If Yuffie is in the party, keep her dead. She gains no EXP. If she's not in the party, you run. Nobody gets EXP, none carries over to reserve members, and no one levels up.

omg, this is freaky... ive looked at about 8 different ways to beat emerald weapon, and none of them worked. i found this and thought "no way." but, i equipped everything that was equiped on this, and i used yuffie, and holy shit i beat het him this way! ^_^ i berely used her, so she was at like level, 48. BUT STILL!

What's crazy is that he did it in such a short time. I also beat Emerald Weapon once without the Underwater materia, but for me, I was really sweating - the counter went down to 2 minutes, I think. Maybe that's the fault of the FAQ I used at the time, which told me NOT to use KoR, because it takes too long. Well, yeah, it takes a long time, but it also deals hella damage, so you only have to use it ten times or so...

What the original poster was trying to say was that in the original Japanese version, you can have Yuffie at level 1. The US version does NOT start at 15; to my knowledge, it varies based on the level of the other characters. The international version is the same as the US version, but with two key differences:

1) text is back in Japanese

2) you can import savegames from the regular Japanese version

One more thing I should make clear for those not aware. The Emerald and Ruby Weapons were added for the U.S. release (they were planned for the JP release, but they ran out of time, whereas the U.S. version had a later deadline, and they were able to add them). Therefore, there are only two ways to make a video like this: (1) cheat (2) have a copy of BOTH Japanese versions. The poster used method (2).
