My heart goes out to his family and our University and I thank the band for that tribute at such a low point in our University History. Show some respect because no one knows when their day. The mighty Jukebox has competition again. The first song by SU was nice - lose the singer though-(average), Grambling's entire show was well thought-out and very creative. They put more into it and i think got more out of it. Good job to Louisiana's finest bands.

This is 2 HBCU bands playing music, simple as that. & because FAMU is also HBCU and what hurts them hurts us all. We played the tribute. It's a matter of RESPECT. I see that's something that SU lacks. One of our fellow HBCU Band Members was KILLED during band hours... It's no joke and its nothing that we would play over just for "Attention".
Grambling has definitely gone back to its roots. This is what made the World Famed known throughout the world. Way to showcase professionalism and musicality. Outstanding GSU !!!!
Grambling has taken away from the whole tradition of the both bands. Don't get me wrong there tone and sound quality has improved tremendously. But to bring a keyboard and a bass guitar into a brass ensemble. That totally killed the sound the band produced. I give props to SU every year they do one thing BLOW without the aid or assistance of enhanced instruments. Hell I even remember when Dr.Gregg's had them to turn the mics off so SU would not be credited for having assistance through amps.
