People gain value, morals, significance etc from relationships. The theist shifts the concept o a relationship with a loving God, the atheist simply gets it from relationships with other people and with life itself. There is no great mystery here.

Hey. I don't believe in a God (anymore), but I do agree that atheism does not give you purpose or bring you peace. In fact, it is rather disturbing to go from serious Christian to atheist. In my personal search for truth, my logical observations conflicted with my upbringing and faith. In the end I could not be a Christian, though I wanted to be. Saying atheism offers no hope is like saying not believing in unicorns offers no hope. It's true, but it's irrelevant. Atheism's purpose isn't to offer people hope, it's to show people that the hope they get from religion is false hope thereby freeing them to look for genuine hope in things that are real, like their relationships with other people.

I think the issue is that you're lumping all hope together into one category - HOPE. I think that there are different kinds of hope. I don't think that hope is only provided by some kind of religious means.

People gain value, morals, significance etc from relationships. The theist shifts the concept o a relationship with a loving God, the atheist simply gets it from relationships with other people and with life itself. There is no great mystery here.

4. Evolution has nothing to do with atheism. Sure, many share both perspectives, but mentioning natural selection and random mutations adds nothing to your argument.
5. Neither literacy nor graduating from a school/college is demonstrably rational.
6. As I touched on in point 3, neither nihilism nor atheism precludes personal values. Personally caring about things is natural for all humans.
7. Without Christianity you would be hopeless. That doesn't mean others would be.

2. Emotional intuition is not an honest pursuit of truth. This video is clearly a declaration that emotions should dictate beliefs, shows that you question why others would put truth above comfort.
3. Atheists are not inherently unhappy. Recognizing that eternal bliss doesn't exist is certainly not comforting, but meaning (of life, love, happiness etc.) has more value when that meaning is your own.

You seem stuck on "meaning." Why does life HAVE to have a meaning. Meaning is a human construction and simply the extension of self awareness. I dont know what happens when I die, but just having a comforting answer doesnt make it true. I am searching for God and have been for around 5 years now, however I cant find any religion that offers something different to the other & all each religion uses the same argument as the other, so sadly there is no reason for me to believe in just any answer.

I am happy and at peace and an atheist. And you are correct, atheism brings you nothing, but it is not the point. The point is that there is no reason to believe in god, you say that I have made up my own reason for life, and I would say you have as well. What brings me hope is when I look at the people around me. When I see them doing good for the world and living to their fullest potential. Honestly, religion takes up approximately 2% of most people's week. To attribute meaning, hope and the preponderance of other emotions you gave to religion is ridiculous. Hey. I don't believe in a God (anymore), but I do agree that atheism does not give you purpose or bring you peace. In fact, it is rather disturbing to go from serious Christian to atheist. In my personal search for truth, my logical observations conflicted with my upbringing and faith. In the end I could not be a Christian, though I wanted to be. I believe that spirituality gives one purpose and increases one's survival, which is why we have evolved to crave it blindly. I can expand on this.

Saying atheism offers no hope is like saying not believing in unicorns offers no hope. It's true, but it's irrelevant. Atheism's purpose isn't to offer people hope, it's to show people that the hope they get from religion is false hope thereby freeing them to look for genuine hope in things that are real, like their relationships with other people.
Give up your imaginary friends and get some real friends.
Stop worrying about some imaginary afterlife and start living this one.
