  • Press 9 repeatedly, Wank hand!!

  • Hey thanks No1Blgred - I do get discouraged by some of the comments here, but you made my day! you too Pinkngreeinlove!

  • Neat! I'm going to try and wax my car, thx:D

  • nice job. my car is screaming at me to get off my ass and give it some tlc. don't let people stop you from making videos with there bad comments. peace.

  • Haha this chick is crazy! U never use a clay bar in the sun, especially on a dark vehicle that will soak up the sun! N u should always clay the whole car on the same day or two if u want a good result

  • good your using meguiar's gold class. good stuff. if its bumpy the car needs a clay kit. meguiars smooth surface clay kit. dont use mothers though lol. flatten ur clay its easier. glad you use meguiars

  • nice to finally see a women for once caring about how her car looks!

  • arent you suppose to apply and take off the wax in a front to back motion, like the direction that the wind flows over yyour vehicle ??? i dont think your suppose to do circular motion, but im just wondering,

  • @johndeerebuck User dependent. Continuous coverage is what matters.

People say it matters. I say it don't. Car's aren't made a' wood.

  • Great ideas and simple explanation for ladies .. thanks a lot.

  • why would u waste ur time and wax that piece of junk on ur left lady ? cute ur 80's haircut :) wink wink

  • the wax gets smeary because you dont let it dry and bond to the paint..you need to wait at least 15-20 minutes before removing the wax

  • If you drop something on the ground , dont use it again .

  • It's good to see a woman who is enthusiastic about car detailing. The demostrations and explanations are appreciated, as I am always trying to correct and/ or improve my own techniques.

  • You really need to invest in better products. Microfiber towels from Costco are terrible. nothing you can buy in any local part store or commercial store works. Try Products by Menzera, Klasse, Black Fire and Hi-Temp. You will never get professional results like that, you put in the work so you should reap the rewards. you wont with the crap you are using.

  • wow - I've actually started to dread comments because people give me such a hard time, nice to hear from someone who actually appreciates how hard I work on this! thanks Markeeto!

  • @nosillacast I understand, the Boys do talk ruff tuff shop talk, but if you can get past that, there is ALOT of great info. I have learned alot from watching this Black Dude " Junkman", he walks you thru as beginner every step, you might really enjoy him too.

Keep up the hard work! you are on your way to being a pro. Type in " slow cut " and you can find "Junkman" here on youtube.

  • atleast you spend time working on cars most girls just pump gas and drive em... the reason they smear is cause the wax didnt have enough time to dry. could be cause of waxing in the sun... use the swipe test, if it smears its not ready, if it doesnt then its ready... keep shining!

  • Most people say dont wax in the sun, but I'm a professional detailer and I say you have to be fast to do it. some waxes allow you to. finally someone who uses meguiars good job! there the best. At least you take care of your car, my wife goes all summer without cleaning her car and my stang gets waxed once a week! I clay every car before it gets waxed. my stang gets clayed once in spring after i pull it out of storage.

  • But her sexiness makes up for her damn stupidness =) lol

  • This succed:-) AS the one before say. Many errors and japping^^ but i like many of Meguiars products but shall be theyrer proffesion collection. OFten bought in gallon bottles. Really nice ones many of them. Have fun with yor cars peeps.

  • as a professional detailer...this is pretty scary...

    Meguiars...fail

    Dropping clay....fail

    Waxing in sunlight....fail

waxing diff sections of the car all the time....fail

    Smeary wax?...fail

    God i could keep going

  • What kind of wax do you recommend? I bought this eagle one nano crap because it said it was good for paint swirls but it did nothing. I guess the shine looks better but it didn't fix the swirls.

  • you gotta use a polisher to remove swirls...preferrably with a porter cable. A good wax is pinnacle souvern wax. Bit pricy but well worth it.

  • @gshdrums hey buddy how is meguiars fail. fuck you

  • @theRDRman because there products are alot more pricey than cheaper stuff that craps all over it.......

  • @gshdrums dude meguiars is top notch

  • @theRDRman do use brands like ,duragloss, poorboys, dodo, autoglym, zaino, 303, Collinite, Nanolex.

Most meguiars stuff is great, i love there washes and quick detailers, metal polishes, as for paint polishes and interior protectants, tyre shiens and so fourth....pretty average

  • @gshdrums why dont you use zaino? and the waxes are great

  • Very amateur, the clay bar is meant to kneed. and flatten like a pancake and insert in the palm of your hand so it follows the profile of the curves in the sheet metal. RULE #1 DON'T DROP THE CLAY!!

  • Exactly, once you drop your clay, you have to break off the piece that touched the ground and throw it away. It is now full of contaminents that will scratch the heck out of the paint. For this reason I break my claybar into 2 or 3 parts before I start, this way if I drop it, I still have some fresh stuff.

  • now THAT'S a great solution! everyone else said I had to throw away the clay, much more practical - thanks!

  • Epic fail. Next time she uses that clay it will scratch the hell out of the car.

  • Man, I'm real anal, I should get a notebook!

  • Everything she did looks good, but once you drop the clay don't reuse it. otherwise you can use it till it gets kinda dirty.

  • Coming from someone who washes my car once a week and waxes every other weekend, you get what you pay for when it comes to products. Ive been around the block a few times using almost every car product on the market, expensive and cheap. However when you drop your clay bar or micro towel on the ground, pitch it. Just becuase you cant see dirt on it definitely doesn's mean its not there. Anyone can throw wax on a car and make it look good for the day, but theres tricks and prducts to make it last

  • I'm always fascinated by people who say I'm doing it wrong. I have to wonder how often they actually DO it since they set the requirements so high - not in the sun, have to do it all at once, all that is just too hard for most people. I wax on average 7 cars a year and they look fantastic. Why on earth would a car look worse if the hood is done this week, trunk the next? If you don't believe me, check out my Flickr set "cars I have waxed" under the user name Nosillacast.

  • u dont clay and wax little pieces at a time u do it all in 1 day and u NEVER EVER wax in the sun man ur fired never subscribe unless u want a terrible looking car

  • lol your fired

  • your're stupid u dont even know how to detail a car in a correct manner, u drop the clay ang u still use it, u wax your car in direct sunlight, hey better take some car detailing class before u do some detailing on cars..

  • the clay is there to pick up the contaminants and all those bad road dirt.....you just dropped it, i say you throw it away immediately, your going to pick up the gunk and contaminants from the leaves/ground, if you put that back on your car your going to cause scratch and swirl..

  • Nice Video! You should get a Bentley Continental GT !!!!

  • awesome video... thanks... has anybody used 5 star shine? I'm planning to use it but it's expensive and I need some feedback from people who have used it...

  • Question for those experienced with mothers clay bar: Is it ok to clay the front end plasic section on my bimmer? I ask because it has 150 thousand miles and the texture of the painted plasic is very rough from years of driving and pebbles hitting it.

  • I don't think it would harmit, but it may not help. Clay takes off road gunk, air gunk (like we have in LA), tar, those kinds of things, but can't remove pits made by pebbles. If you try it let us know if it improved anything!

  • i just didnt know if the clay would get stuck in those little pits and make a mess that would hard to clean up. thats what i was really worried about. you think that there is no harm in trying though?

  • Nope, it sure won't. the spray wax makes it just slide over the surface picking up anything that sticks up, but wouldn't go down into the holes for sure. Good luck!

  • omg.....omg

    reuse clay ?

  • usually i wax it in the shade cos if i wax it in the sun it dried quickly and its very hard to it get off, if i wax the whole car i divid the car into seven parts(wax and wipe) and i usually use paste wax cos i think it last longer..

  • i have a semi deep scratch on my benz

    its a black benz

whats the best to make it not noticable?

it only 3 or 4 inch long

    polish or wax?????

  • Wax will not removes scratches. You need to polish it (machine polish will remove scratches , hand polish will not). Or you can use a combination of glaze/filler and top it off with wax. However polishing is the only real way to remove scratches and swirls.

  • can you see the primer ( white coat) ?

If you run your fingernail perpendicular to the scratch does it catch? if it does then it probably down to the primer.

If not then get a scratch remover ( 3m, nu , scratchx) and use a buffer / polisher to remove the scratch

  • i wash my car once a week and wax it once every six months, but i have not tried claying yet. i will definatly add this to the routine. also, anyone think she was using a lot of wax, or is that the correct amount. i kind of taught myself based on what others have said, and always i have heard to use very little. thin coats=no streaks=nicer looking.

  • Nobody ever told me thin coats=no streaks! I'll try that - thanks for the advice! and let me know what you think of claying once you try it - I think you'll find waxing way more satisfying!

  • Yup ...too much wax. I probably use 1/4th of what was shown in the video

  • AUDI A4 BEST CAR EVER. aside from a6,a8,r8,rs4,rs6,rs8,q7 LOL ! AUDI FTW !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You dropped the clay...gotta toss it now. :-O Also avoid working in the sun, actually dont work in the sun. :-)

  • Thanks, I enjoyed the vid.

  • your claying the car the wrong way . you should shape the clay in your palm and then glide it over the paint without pressure .. the other thing is never use clay bar after its been dropped..

  • I second that.

Forming a lump ( like shown in this video) will put too much pressure on one area and may cause scratching or marring

  • before you do an area, wipe it down with a damp chamois and you'll be fine. Just wouldn't want any dust to get ground into it. Great to do in 2 days, much less back pain that way!

  • i have washed my car and wax it but i still found the paint was a bit rough not smooth, will the cray help? will it scratches the paint? and i also have some small dot of white paint on my car i dunno how to remove it.. lot of the ppl said i need to repaint the whole car if i really want to get rid of it.. -.-"

  • that's exactly what the clay will help! won't take the paint off though I don't think, but worth a try. Won't scratch the paint either.

  • once you drop that clay it's dead!! throw it away!!

  • yep

  • I hope you binned that Clay when you dropped it?. Think you've also been getting the scraches from putting your cloths on the ground.

  • COSTCO TOWELS 30 for $15 dollars FTW!!!

  • Why are you detailing your BLACK car in direct SUNLIGHT? The high surface temperature will seriously hurt the efficiency of the wax/polish. Get into the shade next time.

  • You're right, but I sacrificed for filming! The Polish I use actually is very forgiving in high temps, unlike a traditional wax.

  • do you wax your car everytime you wash your car?

  • you would think! No, each of 4 cars car is about every 4 months, so it just SEEMS like I'm always waxing!

  • Great video. When I get a car, i'll be sure to wax it!

  • Oh! And the Autoglym Super Resin Polish comes off the plastic black bumpers VERY easily compared to the Turtlewax liquid. That can be quite a pain. Anyway, hope someone finds these comments of use hehe

  • And excuse the confusion, different YouTube account :P I always use Turtlewax Zip Wax to wash the car...but I promise I don't work for them, lol - I'm promoting them pretty heavily.

I can't tell you of the money I've wasted trying so many products.

  • DO NOT DO WHAT SHE DID. I work at a car dealership and i detail cars. Always wash the cars before you clay. And when your claying go up down not in circles

  • Um, gee, I DID wash the car before this video! I'm curious what the definition of "up and down" is - how would you do that on the roof? I've detailed about 50 times like this, not detailing for a living though, and have never gotten swirls from claying in circles. curious why it would matter/

  • The reason of going in straight lines is to actually mark the area you have covered and are done with. A proper detailer would make sure that all parts get equal attention. Going in circles ...and you would waste more time. Make sense?

  • that DOES make sense. Maybe I"ll try that. I usually keep running my fingers over the car to figure out where I didn't clean it yet. thanks for the tip!

  • YOUA RE AWESOME D;

  • you must be one of those classy people! youll never figuer it out will you? youll probably have to wax other peoples cars your whole life and never figuer out why nothing better came your way.

  • She's not exactly good at this; she comitted a huge detailing crime, she dropped the wax, and then used it again. That's a huge no-no. And you should never just wax a panel, then weeks later wax another one, because they will not look similar at all.

  • I should have mentioned during the video that I did not use the side that fell in the dirt! that would have been pretty dumb. My advice to do a panel at a time is intended that in a few weeks the car will look uniform AND people will actually do it. I find that if things are too hard people won't do it and then their cars look universally awful!

  • Stopped watching when I saw how small that sponge is. Seriously ridiculous. The amount of time she spends on one small section of a car is crazy. Go find another vid. 8-\

  • It's not a sponge silly - it's CLAY!

  • Interesting. I live in the UK and have spent a fortune trying different products for my car. We just ordered some Mother's Clay off eBay, should be here soon. Unfortunately, I made the poor choice of buying a red car and it's prone to fading quickly, so I have to keep a detailing routine every two weeks. As for working in the sun, I've found waxing is easier in a moderate heat - less hassle and better result than trying to work in the cold.

  • I LOVE to work on a red car - because they go from faded to gorgeous! they do fade though, that's for sure. Do you use that spray detailing stuff that you just sort of wipe around and then dry off? curious if that keeps it from fading.

  • No no no no! I say it four times because I'm no fan of the quick detailers, although I do use the spray with the clay I mentioned previously. The clay itself worked a treat for smoothing everything, but I find Turtlewax (liquid - original) gets rid of the fade. Only lasts a couple of weeks though. Autoglym Super Resin Polish gets rid of a little fade, but the shine is much better than anything.
