I agree that Green Days version is pretty good too and actually they are the ones that got me into Operation Ivy when I heard them cover this in 94.But this version is the closest that you will ever get to the original.Aside from the Jesse doing it it basically is original but Lars did a great job.To say that Jesse has more heart singing is a little off.Without Lars we wouldn't have the great album And out come the Wolves.You have to remember that this isn't Lars song.

Well i listen to all the modern pop punk bands yet i love all the 'real punk' too, i love Dead Kennedys, The Clash, Operation Ivy, Sex Pistols, Sham 69 all sorts, and it's getting pretty stupid now with whats 'real' or not, punk is about doing your own thing, so slagging off bands that aren't the same as 'real punk' doesn't make much sense :/ I think this version is better than Green Days and GD are my fave band, but that doesnt make their version bad in any way. They did it their OWN way.
