Hah, this was the match in which safin got so frustrated he swiped a ball in anger and it hit fed on the head! Fed wasn't that hurt I believe and found it funny.

It's definitely true I think I read it on an old Safin website which has gone down now. Try and google the information I am 99% sure it happened at this tournament. Safin has done a few crazy things whilst on court against fed but fed has just laughed!

yes, tournaments slow down courts so that points are longer and fans are more entertained.
