  • man if you had this in HD i would sit with my heineken and just watch this at least 3 times in a row. thanks for the upload though. really shows Federer just in complete control of where the tennis ball goes. amazing, really.

  • His forehand was really amazing then.

  • you know why?

because he had a semi western grip

  • and he still has a semi western grip...

  • he has an eastern grip now....

look up fyb2007 and you will see

  • his forehand is still amazing

  • Hah, this was the match in which safin got so frustrated he swiped a ball in anger and it hit fed on the head! Fed wasn't that hurt I believe and found it funny.

  • wow thats funny giv me proof i wane see this

  • It's definitely true I think I read it on an old Safin website which has gone down now. Try and google the information I am 99% sure it happened at this tournament. Safin has done a few crazy things whilst on court against fed but fed has just laughed!

  • @dual4aces lol you're really provoking someone on youtube, man...?

  • @misterlonely1446 the reply was toards incredible xman i just wanted to see safin video hitin fed with ball

  • Wow this vid just reminded me of how tight the matches were whenever Fed & Safin played each other back then!

  • if this video is called "2004 comeback" and rog was never behind in the match, what was he supposed to be "coming back" from? because that indicates to me that he overcame some sort of adversity, but it isn't evident to me. sorry for knitpicking...im bored

  • Its a comeback to the year of 2004.

  • @nver yeah well it's a misrepresentation of the word "comeback". good match though, I've always always root for Federer over Safin, ever since that bastard beat him in Australia.

  • yup hardly a comeback, more of a tight match but still a straight set win

  • does the pace seem faster than it does in today's tournaments?

  • yes, tournaments slow down courts so that points are longer and fans are more entertained.

  • alot of the courts are very fast today so maybe thats true for some tournaments but definitely not all

  • his forehand is a massive destruction weapon!

  • He was unbeatable then.
