just wanted to say that you are beautiful !! i've watched the vid without sound ! you skin is bright like the sun was in the room !! beautiful smile, beautiful hair. it's like .. "what else " hahaha lol ! I needed to stop and say you that !!
thanks for the vid, i'm gonna try this but with 2 strand twists on this weekend !
OMG you have banana clip there so rare to find where i am looks nice and this gives me more ideas for my hairstlye every week. I'm not great a canrows yet but i'm getting there so flat twists are my thing :)
Yes protective styles like this will allow your hair to grow and your scalp to breath, What kind of oil are you using on your scalp? it looks dry. Are you doing hot oil treatments for your scalp and ends? I spray my scalp with Thin to Thick by Jason, this is very good, for your scalp and hair. It moisturize your scalp and add thickness and body to your hair. I love it.
@1Robbinh My hair is actually very moisturized and my hair had just been deep conditioned with my conditioner and oils mix. I try not to buy too many products, especially when you can just make your own. But whatever works best for you and your hair is great. Good luck on your hair journey.
Thank you so much for this video. I've started using this method after trimming off my ends and I've found that my hair is healthy and not dry. I have had it in box braids for two weeks and will see if I can go another two. Thanks again for inspiring me.
@luvformykids Thank you...it took me a hot little minute to come up with the style idea, but once I started working in my hair it just came together. I’m glad you liked it!
@jayjaysofresh Yes! I love that I can see what my hair is going to do at church and make adjustments to "fix" the style! Cause you know natural hair has a mind of it's own! Lol...Glad you enjoyed and want to join in on the challenge!
Im also going to try this for the month of august...hopfully tucking my ends in will stop the breaking and also me playing in my hair every five minutes. I will do a video of my style later on this week =D
@goldenhoneyxi I'm so sorry to hear about your hair breaking...but you are already on the right path by putting it up and leaving it alone. I want my hair to be out and big all the time, but I know that will only lead to it eventually breaking and thinning. I can't wait to see the video and how your style turns out! God Bless!
I completely understand the "can't stop playing w/my hair" syndrome! The funny thing is, I used to do it when I was relaxed too. Just play and play w/my new growth. I guess I just love the way the curls feel.
I think I'll join you with this challenge. I'm going to do two strand twists--flat twists in the front and regular twists in the back. My hair is a lot shorter than yours and I'll have to take them out every week to DC but I think it'll keep me from playing in my hair.
@caprimomx2 Yes it will help! Honey...I was always touching my hair and enjoying the curly/kinky curl pattern-so I had to put it up. And now I'm missing my hair, lol. But yes great idea with your style, "Flat twists and two strand twists...it sounds super cute! Let me know how it goes....Good Luck!
I'm still transitioning and I have noticed that me ends are terrible, so I put in some nubian twist. I can't braid worth anything, so I am going to try to do some twist when I change hairstyles. Good luck with everything.
@MrsKimberlee1 Thanks so much =) Yes when I was transitioning I would always worried about how my ends looked...they seemed like they were breaking and split, but it was just the fact that they were just wild...lol. Once I roller set them, I saw that not only was my hair and ends healthy, but I didn't have any split ends. So while transitioning looks can be deceiving...just be careful with how you handle your hair. Good Luck!
