  • so ive watched a few or your videos now and read a few comments. and steve meade... your pretty much an ass hole. yeah i understand you established yourself as a well known bass head. when ever someone tries to give you some helpful advice you shoot them down. contrary to what you believe there are people out there that know more than you about this stuff. ill end with this. you make good stuff... just stop being a cocky ass about it.

  • @ColorNULL if i am an asshole for not taking "advice" from some dip-shit, know-it-all troll........then so be it. I dont need advice from them and i dont need it from you. Save your lecture for someone who will listen to you, like your dog or something.

  • whats the song in the background around 0:27?

  • is that your'e work?

  • Home Theater.

  • wats the second song called?

  • Love The Channel Keep on doing what you doing!! Im and Engineer and Sometimes I gotta make my own Cabs for Special Needs!! NICE Shop!! I'll keep looking at you channel Cheers!!

  • should have done a downfiring sub... then i guess it will be a lil tricky to move around..?

  • do u make smd 15"s ???

  • 1:33 bone thugs n harmony for lifee

  • damn you should start making surround sound systems and shit that looks good as hell

  • dude whats the song on the background? the first one?

  • ok im and i want some subs that will shake my house i want two 12s and my budget is 160 lol im broke but plzzz answer

  • Steve it's not so hard to make some boxes for your hughe subwoofers (with kilowatts, big diameter), my 15 years old syster can do that, if I show her how to do that. But you can make a receiver, to 2x2 watts of speaker at 8 ohm? :)

He is not a professional, just a mad man, who love bass, hughe sound pressure level, and he has money....

  • I need to find the right 12" subs for a ported dual enclosure box - each enclosure measures 1.25 cubic feet. Anyone want to weigh in with their two cents? I'd like to stay under 300 watts RMS (per speaker) due to my stock alternator, plus I'm already running 300 watts (total) to four Infinity 6.5's.

Obviously this won't be a competition setup, so save the stupid comments about how 'weak' it's going to sound. It's just for my personal enjoyment.

  • wrong wood lmfao. wtf do you want him to use oak??? stop telling a professional how to choose wood or whatever the hell your criticizing him about and do what you do best, pack fudge. KEEP IT UP MEADE and use the type of wood you wanna use lol

  • I seen how you were gluing up your stacked baffles. That works fine but if you have a CNC router with a vacuum hold down table I have a little trick for you to try. The sheet of wood being cut is held in place by drawing a vacuum through the spoil board. You can stack your glued baffles on the router then lay a sheet of plastic over them. The vacuum comming through the table will suck the sheet down compressing the parts. Glue will squeeze out & you will have a solid glue up free of air voids.

  • @foxacoustics or i can do what i just did...in half the time with the same result. Thanks anyway man!

  • hello, what brand are the resins and glues you use? in Italy are these products?, still compliments for the work you do, have done very well, carefully I live in Italy and here the materials of this kind are scarce

  • respect

  • i like your work , all hand made and the best there is

  • almost cool...doe you even know the basic ?? wrong wood , no damping, you ever know outside of cabinet should have no vibrations ? lol ever try marble ?

  • @adimicroscan33 You cant even spell, what makes you think you know more about this then i do? Fucking TROLLS ARE DEEP today! is it a full moon or what?

  • @meade916 Hahahha your reply made my day ,Wrong wood , perfect wood ! he needs viagra to get his solid like those speakers man !! nice job

  • @adimicroscan33 dont tell meade about audio systems. its like telling a piece of cheese its not cheese.

  • @adimicroscan33 god ur dumb

  • @adimicroscan33 I agree with you but not on subs, mdf is shit wich damps without dampening because it's really soft, so in the case of a sub it doesn't matter unless you don't have coils to filter out the high notes, in that case you should use glasswool 1/3 of the volume stacked up.

  • @brando18guitarplyr please stop. Nothing you said made any sense at all.

  • @meade916 No, It didn't make sense to you.

  • hey steve, whos escalade ext is that in your shop? ive seen it in the back ground of a few vids now. your the best man

  • do morel make quality splits? havent heard of them before

  • trochę mnie dziwi fakt ,że koleś to kleji nie skręca...i ściany też min.z dwóch płyt

  • Daim nice work Steve

  • what components are you using to drive those. How are you managing the impedance load of that system? Are you using PA class equipment or audiophile?

  • That looks like so much fun. You got it made Meade. =)

  • dope

  • Does a front plate always have to be that thick?

  • just wondering if anybody could tell me what router bits you use and if its possible put a link on the reply

  • lol

  • Steve ..question.. ur glueing those plates of MDF together with a bottle of glue, why not just buy spray glue? Nice system btw ..respect :) Srry for my english .. im dutch :)

  • @djbazzmaster to stop air leaks i think m8 spray glue wouldnt do the job as good

  • fuck man, u never seist to amaze me. those are some sick badddass towers your building.

  • @meade916 Hmmm I'm not sure he was being nasty, if anything it was a compliment on your nice ride...

  • Would you be able to build a system like that for me ? I live in new york and your work is just sick. Please contact me through my email abraham.valarezo@yahoo.com i would really appreciate a response. I am very interested in a system like this.

  • @ssantana001 sure bro but i gotta tell you.....this exact same setup will be VERY expensive. I will be scaling down for the next models that way if someone wants some they will be smaller and a little less expensive.

  • @meade916 Im so glad you wrote back lol um email me the exact figures for this exact same setup and, if you've gotten to it already the figures for that smaller less expensive model i'd really appreciate it. Or if you'd like call me 347-513-1352 if you feel comfortable doing that.

  • @meade916 How expensive are the speakers themselves? I mean all of them should be around 4k? Am I close to the cost of materials (minus the MDF and work involved)

  • how much did you pay for all that? :D btw love your videos !!!!

  • how much did you pay for all that? :D btw love your videos !!!!

  • wtf are Passive Radiators?? lol no idea about that. those towers are kickass and cant wait to see the final product

  • I'm not one to normally comment or add to the clutter but I was wondering if you were going to build the passive radiators yourself? And if so are you going to do a how to video for the rest of us? Thanks in advance Steve! Love what you do and ready to see it done!!

    Gotta love those clamps!! :)

  • Wat kind of wood do you use to make boxes and also wat kind of box would b best for an extended cab ford ranger. thanks man your an audio God

  • @bncmrn58 i'm thinking its particle board. its what it looks like to me, i could be wrong.

  • @bncmrn58 its MDF bro, thanks!!

  • yay heard some em in the background

  • Let me get a job were you work

  • I heard a little Pantera

  • hey steve. does the mini nail gun work better for those countersinks compared to screws? im building a box with 2 RE MT 15"s and i dont want it to get fucked up if i use little nails. would they shake apart over time?

  • @SuperGrizzy1 screws or nails do about the same thing in this instance......i dont use hardly any screws on any of my boxes. The glue does all the work.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperGrizzy1 this is true. if enough glue is used, right amount of pressure is applied for sticking, and the length of holding time. any glue joint should hold their pieces together and strength should be 100%

  • Great job. Im not a fan of the desing of the tower seems heavy ,impractical and it seems like it would iritate the ears hearing it .who knows anyways, Heres my idea for version 2.0. Make a V design with a flat rear. 4 speakers on left side 4 on right side or each box Bam. haha peace.

  • @master9716 heavy, yes. Impractical for most people, probably. Irritate the ears, i doubt it unless its from sheer volume.....but not for lack of SQ. This is a line array, it sounds killer already. It was made like this for a reason. No offense but i will pass on your version "2.0". Why dont you build some though and show us how its done? Id love to check it out. Ill even subscribe to you if you do.

  • @master9716 This is America. We make things heavy, impractical, and loud for 2 reasons: because we can, and it's fun.

  • @lbox88 EXACTLY. People hate us doing fun stuff and spending money on things we dont NEED........but those 3 words, "Because We Can" really piss them off. LOL

  • @meade916 I'm british and even i agree xD

  • @meade916 I use to say that aswell, "because I can" :) Wont make people happy :P

  • @meade916 so many hater these day. Glad you are doing something you enjoy. I just got in to car audio. My Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12 is on the way.

  • 1.05 2pac hail mary ;) tunee !

  • Dude, you are indeed a beast at what you do bro, you keep living the dream, can't wait to see them when they are done and I'm getting some of those woofers

  • hey man , you did a great work.that's why i respect you so much...

  • lol "break ya ankles" thats what'll happen if you drop one of them boxes haha

  • You should bump tech n9ne-killing you in one of your vids that shit slumps son!

  • so quick question i have a box with 3 10 quantom audio subs in it.....the box has 3 seperate enclosures built into one the 2 outer "enclosures" are .6 cu ft and the middle is .9 cu ft so naturally they are tuned different my question if i port tune all three to 39 hz with such little air space will that affect the db and make it louder or do you think it will sound the same only a little better quality cause they are tuned identically or am i waisting my time in general????

  • Wow Steve! Who knew you ccould hook up some major systems AND be a bad-ass carpenter?! Lol everything's lookin' good man! I hope I can come to California this coming summer and see you again! Best wishes and good luck bro!

  • I'd love to have those in my room... the people downstairs wouldn't know what hit em... ;)

  • why does everyone hate on you so much steve? dope towers though, very inspiring. i feel like they should be skinned with some sort of crazy wood veneer and stained rather than painted to do them justice. im sure you have some crazy plan in the works for them though. one question: did you just triple layer the face of the sub enclosure?

  • @bailey2829 everyone? nahhh, i get one jealous ass internet shit talking troll comment for every 1000 good comments. The reason those guys are talkin shit is because they are either extremely jealous, extremely bored or extremely broke......more then likely all three.

  • @meade916 I'm all 2 out of 3, not bored; with the stuff you show? Who could be! lol. Although I don't recall talking shit, but I am jealous in the way that I'll never be able to do anything as amazing as you. So I guess its more envy and amazement each time I see a vid of yours. Keep up the great work, you blow my mind each video!

  • @Adzerk its ok to be bored, broke or jealous. I am all three myself sometimes. The difference is, i dont get online and talk shit to those that have it better then i do. I couldnt imagine myself finding some random video and talkin the shit that these guys talk to me. Anyway, thanks man!

  • @meade916 yeah good point. But really though, why do you you only triple layer the front? im sure you have a good reason for it, im just curious what it is.

  • these vids r sweet its cool to see someone who does this and video tapes and documents it so well so that everyone can see whats going on. thumbs up

  • lol little sad speaker to side of tower on the floor

  • got a question.... is that qlue strong enough to keep everything together or ? i saw only on one part of the video clip that you used a nail gun...

  • steve KNOWS his hip hop game...i was shockedd to see soo many hits playing in this video. from bone to Too Short to pac to snoop to master p(?)

  • steve is a project engineer for a commercial roofing company and has been working for that company for almost 20 years, so hop off his dick. real guy with a real job with an awesome hobby

  • @watsfolunch1 x2 ty sir

  • what do u do for a living

  • @meade916 Can I come and work for you? You are always doing the coolest stuff. I'll work for free!!!!

  • looks like two big ass out door fire pits haha. but damn man that whole set up is wild! looks awesome!

  • you got this sound game on lock

  • @slugger1714 MDF.

  • 3/4 and 1 inch MDF

  • Great work bro, looking bitchen man.

  • Bone Thugs No Murder man you need to bump that in the SUV

  • i dont get why you got 3 sub holes in each box

  • @act440 Front hole is for the 18" AA SMD, the other two on the sides are for passive radiators. Which is basically a sub woofer without a motor.

  • so i see you work for this shop, but how do u get the money to do all this stuff and make ur cars SECK???

  • so you sand down the ends when your done

  • Good Shit Meade :P

  • when ur not working on ya whips whats ur job

  • just a question. do tou make the smd subs for only yourself or do you sell them cause i would be intrestead in buying one if you do.

  • @JLamBASS ascendant audio

  • holy chimney stacks!

  • looks great only you could think of an idea this sick but do you think your be able to fit 3 sub's in the bottom because it looks like a tight squeeze ???

  • @Like500Nuns They make subs that are practicaly flat

  • @Like500Nuns Not subs man, passive radiators. They are basically just a sub with no motor or coil, it's like a way to have a sealed box be ported, but still keeping it sealed. They work great for wave reinforcement, along the same lines of a transmission line/quarter wave box, pretty tricky though.

  • song at 1.24

  • anyone know the song at 1.24

  • where do u get all that cash???

  • whats the song at 1.25

  • Song from 0:26 ?

  • @windows12r break there ankles, E-40

  • @windows12r break ya ankles e-40 shawty lo, something like that

  • they look very coooool :D

  • props man, good taste in music. nasty idea for shop subs.

  • That's good work!

  • you have a panel saw in your shop, now I am jealous lol.... that would come in so damn handy

  • Half the people commenting here are fucking illiterate. Sad truth.

  • I want one

  • Wow, that is some amazing work! Keep it up man.

  • one question, is it okay to have an 18" sub box with 2 passive radiators without using any braces?

  • @meade916 The towers are looking awesome, is the boxes for the Smd's gona be ported or just a passive radiator?

  • Whose your football team ???

  • hey steve u never get any coustmers do you? seems like ur alwayse bored at ur shop why is that i mean not bored cuz u do alot of kool stuff oviestly but u have a stereo shop u never do work for pplor never see nobody there buying anything?

  • @jennchris55 this is my garage, not a stereo shop bro. You see anything for sale on the shelves? I dont want to work on anyones car unless its mine or maybe Chickens (owner of the caddy's). To much drama working for the public.

  • @meade916 what about doing a recent video of the caddy pick up

  • @meade916 so what is your jobs?

  • @meade916 then what do you do for a living? if you dont install systems...
