Personally in scenes like this where the shadows hide all but his face, I think he almost looks more like the Captain Howdy face from the Exorcist than a vampire. Either way it's very unsettling to watch and made all the creepier with the slowness of the scene and movie (in a good way since it adds to the artistic and tense quality) and lack of music. No vampire movies today seem to be able to replicate that. Not just Twilight but any kind of vampire flick. There's just this surreal look to it.
someone needs to come back and bring back the meaning of fearing the vampires. Twighlight is killings what it means have a creature of the night that literally is a monster and nothing else.
dude they are just being funny lol..i like dracula and all the vampire movies to but yeah iwatched a nosferatu movie once ware in the scene it was kinda funny.i mean to see a vampire acting so mature but falling down the stairs is to funny whouldent you agree.
this song is awesome, and nosferatu's reaction after that guy cut his hand was so funny! when they remade the film, did they keep the silent film aspect in some scenes or what? that would have been cool, like a modern silent film.
it not A Dracula he is the Dracula, theres only one, its his name. but in this version the name is count Orloc, the original book does not have him look like that, that look is from the original silent film addaption. this sene is beautiful yet the nature of dracula here is very dif from what he was original like and hes supose to see a cross on Harkers neck and jump back when he goes to put the thumb in his mouth, he would never go after Harker like that. though it works for this version.
you seem like understanding english and the subject here... can you please tell me what nosfferatu has 2 do with dracula? and even the characters and storyline? please bear with me i was so obsesed with dracula but i was never interesred in nosferatu... can you please help?
Nosferatu comes from Bram Stoker´s 1897 novel Dracula. Stoker thought it is romanian word meaning Undead. It isn´t. In 1922 screenwriter Henrik Galeen used the name in his movie Nosferatu, unauthorized adapatation of the novel, as synonyme of the vampire. This film is a remake of 1922 film. So Nosferatu could be translated as a vampire.
The guy who made the original Nosferatu film did not have the rights to the Dracula story, and Bram Stokers wife fought him in court, Vampire was changed to that word and Draculas name was changed also. though Dracula was the first english book for the word to apear in Stoker did not create it, many europeans had used the word to discribe vampires for years, thats why the film maker could get away with using it.
His name is not Orlok in this film; it is Dracula. WATCH THE FILM, OK. Before you try to be a expert on it. The 1922 one had Orlok, because he did not have the rights to Dracula but by this time it was public domain, Scheisskopf.
