Such a shame the true England was destroyed during the reformation! However Thanks be to God we Catholics still survive today and now number more than practicings Anglicans in our country. Ave Maria!
Interesting video to be sure. But, the Reformation was under way long before Luther. Many of his proposals for reform were already in circulation within Christendom; much of the thinking therein came from English scholars such as William of Ockham and John Wycliffe. As to the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre, the attackers killed as many Roman Catholics as they did Protestants! Religion had been a political football long before Dr. Luther posted his 95 Theses.
@LSBHam You are right that the Protestant Reformation was under way long before Luther, some proto-protestant groups can actually trace their history back to at least the 2nd century. The St.Bartolomews Day Massacre was a jesuit attack on Protestants though, and Protestants alone were targeted, not sure where you came up with the idea that as many catholics were killed as Protestants but im sure at least a few catholics were killed in the midst of that genocide.
@WorshipInTruth The Reformation was quite a complicated period in the history of the Church. It turns out that in the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre that the rabble hired to massacre Protestants went out of control, losing all discipline and killing at random regardless of their victims' faith..
@LSBHam Yeah, I dont doubt that. The papist murderers oftentimes kill fellow catholics in their bloodlust, I am reminded of a time during the crusades when one crusader noted that they were killing many catholics as well, his captain responded by saying "kill them all, let God sort them out".
Thank you for putting these excellent documetaries up, but do you have any episodes of The Bible: A History? I cant find a single episode, and I adored the majority of episodes in that excellent series.
Research Martin Luther and John Calvin who are of the bigges heretics ever in history. I was a member of the Christian Reformed cult, and knew it was a cult at about 25 years old and NEVER went back.
Now I'm a non denominational Christian.
All you need is a Bible and a pen and paper to take notes.
Prayer by your self works better than any Freemason institution.

This is ridiculous propaganda from an arch-papist and traitor to Britain.

I was never a fan of Ms. Widdecombes politics, but my respect for her went through the roof after, she presents this so well.
I would love to see her face off against Stephen Fry, she is a formidable woman.
