  • if your going to use a robotic voice you dont use voice variation, slang or emotional sounding sentences.

  • how much does the intel quad core i5 cost? and is there anything higher than that if yes pls give me the price of that to

    tnx^^

  • @GreenEggsAndSpam52 The one I'm ordering from newegg is about 200 bucks and you could get the intel i7

  • That voice is giving me a headache...

  • Why a robot you think il like you more?

  • @kbman99 what is it?

  • this robor is as funny as a human....hmmmm????

  • i found an AMD motherboard that supports SATA 6G/ps and a ssd that also supports 6G/ps, but that hardrive is made by intel.

    Will the two work together?

  • @trigahapy147 yes the hard drive wont matter

  • I took one month to pick out my PC. Was so excited when it got here. spent $1600 on it and it works epicly lol

  • @kbman99 damn that's a lot lol. i just got a pre-built one right now and it is absolutely horrible for games. i might build a gaming pc when i'm older and just use the hard drive/monitor/keyboard/mouse from this one for my new one. i gotta study this stuff though x.x i got like no idea how to pick the parts

  • haha i learned to build my own PC when i was 10 O.o

  • what website is that for mobo

  • Lol awesome i got an add for a good site to buy pc parts from! xD

  • yay norway and sweden

  • 1000$ = 756.399€

  • Phenom ii X4 955 BE

    ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB

    4GB DDR3 1333MHz

    7200RPM SATAII HDD 1TB

    Asus M4A785TD-EVO

  • i5-760

    GTX 470

    4GB DDR3 1600

    GOGOGOGOGO

  • that robot looks like the arbiter

  • These guys seem misinformed in some areas. They claim an i3 is older than the i7 for 1156, but Lynnfield (i5 and i7) was released before Clarkdale (i3 and dual core i5).

  • 2 people are Bill Gates and don't need this advice.

  • @XxSmallFryxX that was S.T.U.P.I.D

  • Comment removed

  • pfft how cheap is hundar only $1000 for a pc

  • is DDR3 SDRAM as good as DDR3 240 pin?

  • awesome vids, probably should have watched these before I bought all of my parts on newegg yesterday (sick deals there for black friday). Hopefully I don't have buyer's remorse....

  • @XeReviews

For the future I advise Ebuyer however I'm not sure if they only deliver to the UK or not... (AMD Phenom ii X6 1090T, BE, AM3 for around 185 pounds there)

  • @Edge0fPain Newegg > Ebuyer by far imo. It's my first build from scratch, but I've been buying misc stuff from Newegg for years. Great site

  • @XeReviews

.... I built a system for £580 on ebuyer that would have cost be just over £1,000 on Newegg but you may have had different experiences, so yeah. :D

  • @Edge0fPain Exact same parts with a 420£ difference? Sounds kindof ludicrous to me lol, but oh well. Nothing against ebuyer in particular, just wanted to let people know there are other (maybe better) options

  • where's part 3 ?? :( isn't it a weekly show?

  • amd is better price/performance. just saying

  • @wohoo5150 yup but i have had many AMD back in the day and they all broke after a year or two :s while intel keeps working perfect for 5+ years.

  • Is a 1TB hard drive necessary for a fast/gaming computer? Or should I just get a 320GB that has a 5 star rating with 700 ratings?

  • @Animationnnnn well dependig on the RPM of the hr drive, yea it can, 7,200 is pritty standard, yet 10k is th fastes but is usually not aslarge as a TB hard drive, unless u have the money tojust go overboard

  • @Animationnnnn The amount of storage will not affect game performance. You will notice a difference in loading/saving times depending on the read/write speeds. Read/write speeds are generally affected by the RPM of an HDD or the controller of an SSD.

  • God that voice is annoying

  • @05sn No, Its not.

  • @POOPtard69 lol its funny how your correcting my opinion.

  • @05sn Opinions aren't real.

  • @POOPtard69 Yes, It is, And You, Suck dick. GG. Blocked.

  • @UlquiorraZombie Oh no.

  • i like these videos a lot but i think that the robot voice is a little bit distracting. i dont really think they need a gimmick like that for these videos

  • @Deathgroin Fair enough, maybe we'll put it to a vote. Grit is already an established character, BUT... this is a lot of info to listen to.

    "voice box upgrade" episode maybe?

  • @MachinimaNovak i think a vote sounds good. thanks for listening

  • Impressed again. I like these tutorial videos. Keep it up.

  • DDR3 on i5 yes or no?

  • @mikejclark yeah but make sure to buy a two stick kit and nothing with a speed over 1333mhz as the motherboard doesnt support anything faster

  • @floydrose4noobs Speeds can go fater than 1333mhz if you have a decent motherboard

  • @mikejclark Yes, the only difference between the 1366 socket and 1156 socket when it comes to RAM is Dual and Triple channel. So for i5 you use 2 ram sticks, while you typically use 3 sticks for 1366

  • Jeez, i´m glad that i dont have to go thou all this again for a while. Just got my new PC a few days ago for a little over 2000 dollars. And i´m not planning to replace it anytime soon!

  • I've got DDR2 ram, what's the differnce between DDR3 and 2? Descriptive answers please other than "It's just faster" because I want more information than that. Thanks

  • @AIDSTheOrgazoid DDR3 is used with the most up to date motherboards out there due to the fact that it is faster. You won't use DDR3 on older motherboards, (its seen on the i3/i5/i7 mobos mostly)

  • @AIDSTheOrgazoid DDR3 is triple channel while DDR2 is dual channel. this means in DDR3 you can use 3 sticks of ram while in DDR2 you can only use 2. so because the maximum amount of ram is 4gigs you can get 12 gigs with ddr3 but only 8 with ddr2. also ddr3 has higher clockspeeds (2000mhz or more) while ddr2 is capped out at 1066mhz or so so its also faster.....lol. also jackles2012 is wrong cause DDR3 can ONLY be used on the i79xx series of cpus,

  • @floydrose4noobs i'm using ddr3 on a q8400 lol

  • @damncritics you can use the ram but its speed will be limited and it will have the same limitations as ddr2, it only has two slots per channel,

  • @floydrose4noobs no, DDR3 isn't triple channel, it's just a different format for RAM. It allows for more memory for your stick of ram and faster speeds

  • can't wait for part 3 and i hope they show how to install all these stuff

  • @mbsfaridi Unfortunately, install is still a few eps off. Next will be mobo part 2.

  • @ralph2688 agree. im also not paying to see this so its a good trade off

  • dude, can i have hundars cred number, i need a new pc too! im runing on a 2.53 ghz (prob 2.0 ghz) and a Geforce mx 420, and grit, one more thing, IM RUNNING F@!KING RIBBONS! so yeah thanks for all the work, much love bra!

  • A lot to take in? ;).. you don't know me :p

  • Thank you very much for making these vidoes. They're easy to understand and as you said a great start.

    Keep them coming! :)

  • Big TY to those of you more learned fellows posting in here. This is exactly what we were hoping to see.

  • Tip: The only difference between i7 and i5 is that i7 has hyper threading.

Hyper threading is completely useless for gaming, that's why you should get an i5 for example, the 760, it's affordable and efficient.

  • @feladirr why didnt you tell me this 1 year ago when i had 2k and spent 2,5k since someone told me I7 is or gaming

  • @petar4onachev Haha :P

  • @feladirr Can you PM me with a Newegg link of this processor please? Thanks!

  • @feladirr Really????

  • @slimshadythe11 Yes.

  • @feladirr

What is hyper threading used for?

  • @Quirrelq7 google it.

  • @feladirr I'm runing a i7 920 with 2 servers on it

    was that the right choice?

  • @mirsdo If everything is smooth, I'd say so.

  • @feladirr The i7 will outperform an i5 in gaming, just not by much.

  • @feladirr didnt know that

  • @feladirr the core i3, i5 and i7 have Hyper Threading.

  • @MegaCamu No they don't. If you don't believe me, check the Intel website and check any i5 or i3 CPU and scroll down to ''Advanced Technologies''.

  • @feladirr On intel's website, under core i3-550 it says: Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology: YES.

  • @MegaCamu I guess it's only the i5 that doesn't have Hyper-Threading :)

  • @feladirr on intel's website under Core i5-430UM it says: Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology: YES.

i3, i5, and i7 all have Hyper Threading. Only i5 and i7 have Turbo Boost.

  • @MegaCamu Hmmm, I guess only some i5s don't have Hyper-Threading. I personally bought the i5-760 because it didn't have Hyper-Threading, making it cheaper than some i7s. I didn't really look at the other i5s, so I assumed all i5s had no Hyper-Threading, but it turns out only three i5 CPUs don't have Hyper-Threading.

My mistake and btw the i5-430UM is a mobile CPU, so not for Desktops :P

  • @feladirr Im 99% sure the I5 has HT

  • @Smullaghy Not all of them have it.

  • so about £750

  • for a cost effective build i would say ddr2 would be preferable, not as future proof but ddr2 is more than acceptable considering the price difference

  • @skellington1990 DDR5 NIGORZeloolo

  • Two 4 gig's.. Fail @_@

  • Worth noting AMD's run a bit hotter than Intel. Also for RAM it's best to go with several smaller one's instead of just one large one. Like one 4 gig's instead of One 8 gig. If RAM fails it fails separately, so if one fries, at least your computer will run.

  • i keep running into the term "chipsets" which is really throwing me off, is it a series of chips compatible with the motherboard socket or am i not close, I would love to get some clarification on this

  • @AMadToon a chipset is just a specific variation of the chips on the motherboard that offer certain features. this mainly determines the GPU you use, and has some effect on a few other peripheral devices, tho not much. the 3 most used chipset styles are, Nvidia based, ATI based and Intel based. Nvidia and ATI chipsets generally only let you use that brand of GPU, and tend to come with AMD socketed motherboards. Many of the latest Intel chipsets allow you to use either brand of GPU

  • I have enjoyed watching both parts of this so far... I have known pretty much all of it but it's still well put together...will be looking forward to part3

  • i know you should be happy that youtube is free and all, but FUCK DO I HATE WHEN THESE FUCKING ADS FUCK UP SO YOU HAVE TO WATCH THEM ONE MORE FUCKING TIME

  • @martin0738 there like 10secs long dude. man up
