True...the beaches and the ocean in Varadero are beautiful....if they were not full of sun beds, tourists, motor boats and loud blaring music.

And of course the only Cubans you are likely to see are those pushing bikes up and down the beach selling tourist souveniers.

If you are going to go to Cuba....avoid the tourist traps and resorts and experience the real Cuba......the "Real Cuba" includes CUBANS. See the real life and culture of this beautiful country....don't exploit it.

I was there 3 month ago and it was the most beautiful beach i have ever seen and i have seen many beaches around the world...

If you go to Varadero i recomend you to join the Cayo Blanco tour,,,it`s a very small and gorgeous isle near varadero that is even nicer than varadero`s beach,,it`s like a small paradise.. ;-( i miss that beaches so much....if it wasn`t that expensive from germany i would go there every month ;)

If you go to Quattro Palmas, don't miss the lobster restaurant - just when you walk out of the hotel, some three hundred feet to the left. From the lobby 200m straight across the road, into 62th street, there's a Salsa nightclub - but mind the Cubans REALLY can dance! And to the right, some 300m, there's a fine open air Reaggeton club. Been to Cancun, Martinique, St.Lucia, Cuba, Guatemala and Hawaii - but Cuba is best of all!

The Sand is so white and fine the waters are unreal blue and clear .Million ner Dupont of the Dupont giant firm built a beach front Mansion in Varadero Beach in the 1930s . that should give you a scope of this beach.
