This is a really awful C64 port. And the lack of hardware capacity is no excuse for this. I mean WTF, only one enemy at the same time, without scrolling? Look at those C64 Sprite fireworks such as Turrican and X-Out! Just a poor programming effort, nothing else, like many of the late 80s' arcade conversions for home computers.
The music in Golden Axe was legendary and the C64 version had no music, plus the graphics were shit compared to other ports. I had golden axe on the master system. You know what's even worse for you guys, the music on the amiga version was actually made on a C64 lol
@swordofgenesis Let me tell you something before you complain about grphics etc , this game plays on a c64 that has a 8-bit processor running at 1 Mhz ! , and a 3 channel sound card (SID) the total amount of colours for the machine is 16. //Florian This computer game was probably created way before you were born :)
@swordofgenesis But you are wrong :) Compare it with other systems that runs on equal hardware m8 , it looked good "for its time". I doubt todays programmers would do much better if they worked wih the same hardware.
i had thos on my c64 if i remember right it was a multi loader

Another shining example of C64 greatness: Awesome music on a terrible game.

The backgrounds look really good for C64 standards
