  • Canon 5d mkii

  • wow.. this is sooooo good.. like i like rennick and gusseck was awesome too.. its really tough to say whos better

  • scv with gusseck was the best.

  • COOL CAMERA

  • BASS DRUMS whooo!

  • illlllll the old scv

  • that look at 1:08. enough said.

  • I miss these drums.

  • scv= masters of moeller stroke

  • @beastdrummer555 Lets not get crazy now lol. SCV definitely has the most natural technique out of all the other DCI lines in my eyes. However, they use more of a push pull technique rather than moller.

  • @TheSyncopator im sorry...i always have found it confusing between those two.. My bad!

  • @beastdrummer555 lol no biggie. I think coats have a moller exercise though.

  • It would be more appropriate to say SCV used a free-stroke technique. Murray did appreciate both Moeller and push-pull techniques, and he chose to include them in the exercise regimen to allow everyone to have a broader knowledge and feel for techniques he felt encouraged a nice, relaxed, open, and full sound. Push-pull, for example was greater for encouraging a fuller sounding second diddle on open stroke rolls.

  • LOVING the shallow focus, dude.

  • Very nice camera there man

  • camera is epic

  • who is that top bass chick? she's got killer hands

  • I watched a JoJo Mayer video on his "push/pull" technique that allows him to play manyyyy notes on one hand in rapid succession. It seems like they're using the same technique here?

  • I live in the East coast and I just can't like SCV. Their whole style, tradition and the fact that they took Paul Rennick.

  • that was fucking ridiculous .... not a drum corps guy so my opinion might not be valid but from what I have seen online I think SCV is the best

  • Tacky uniforms is their mascot the housewives?

  • @tenordrum77 ??????? Please tell me you don't really think those are their uniforms. Seriously.

  • That tenor player looks like Samuel l Jackson and Kevin Garnett had a boy

  • Who's center snare?

  • I don't like the way the Moeller method looks when used by a drumline. I don't like the way it sounds, either.

  • dude how tall is bass 1????

  • Push Pull at 1:29 = <3

  • dude the quints look like they have broken wrists

  • What aperture were you at?

    f/2.8?

  • @syrusface its something special to this exercise. push-pull is just one of many techniques covered in this exercise, and this is just the last 3ish minutes of the 16 min routine.

  • @nenbran They will again in 2015.

  • damn, the camera, woah..

  • camera is amazign!

  • I thought he ment the drum :P Also thought it was called moeller :) SCV Rocks

  • @Sukkeh

Actually it's officially spelled Möller (w. umlaut on the -o), named after a Swiss army official who invented the technique.

German spelling system has two ways of indicating that a letter needs to be pronounced with umlaut: 1. put dots on top. 2. put an -e behind it (some want to avoid "unnecessary" reading marks).

So Möller should be pronounced "MER-ler" (with british accent)

  • cool, thank you for clearing that up :)

    cheers

  • :) you're welcome.

  • @Sukkeh

By the way, why should we speak English, als we ook gewoon Nederlands kunnen spreken.

Inderdaad klein wereldje :) Gr.
