Buying used, not too much... I know a 12 lane center right now that is just looking to get rid of their machines, the building got bought out by a Walgreens, and they're just trying to get rid of their lanes and machines...
I am a mechanic at an AMF center. I must say, there is a HUGE difference between these A2 machines and the AMF 82-70 that we run! Wow! I have never seen the backend of a brunswick center till now. Very interesting.
thanks. its been about a week and a half since memorial day when i started. i gotta say, its not too bad. but i dont dig the cigar smoke all over, and the drunk people that sometimes come up. one guy was talking louder than a black chick would
our alley is basically non smoking except in a smoking room and in the bar area, so it really cuts down, I remember as a kid i'd go in there and it just stunk of cig smoke, now it's actually nice to go in there, and I don't come out smelling
No, I don't wonder about what's behind a Brunswick Pinsetter, 'cause Ive worked for a bowling center for the past 25 years. It's a living. Hmmm.. I need to buy a camera and show what's behind a AMF pinsetter.
I don't wonder what's behind an AMF center either, lol. But I'm sure some other folks would love to see the difference, and there is a BIG difference...
Different centers have different problems, but ball returns and 180 stops are usually common, just different little idiosyncracies, not all A2's *these are A2's* wear the same, trust me on that one
This Brunswick automatic pinsetter isn't a "jet back" or "A" it's an "A2" Real wood pin decks not synthetic. The Bowling center is using AMF pins instead of Brunswick, that's common.I don't detect any noise retarding rubbers on the pin wheels but the ball wheel has kick pads on it.Might be an infrared sweep computer scoring system or CCD.GDK
Yes, it's a 2nd Gen A2, the pindecks are synthetic though. Brunswick pins just don't hold up as well as AMFlites in my opinion... The scoring is AS80's with '79 scanners which uses a Red beam of light to check for standing pins...
constantly and adjusted using targets like the CCD systems,Yes? A motherboard in the bowlers scoring table needs to be changed sometimes. Thanks for the video!!!
I've heard the same regarding AMF pins many years ago (the place where I heard this closed in 1991)- they seem to hold up better in the Brunswick A/A2 series of pinspotters which apparently gives pin durability a test.
The turret wire is bent on lane 27 or the spoons in the wrong spot....

Looks like lane #27 needs a snubber adjustment!

Wow. I knew this was an A2 before even looking at the comments. Very fast, very smooth. Alot different from the A's that we have.

Cool. How many pins are in the machine total? Can you have extra pins in there? What's the most common problem? Is this the Brunswick A2 ? Thanks.
DonZoid 4 years ago
We typically keep 22 pins in each machine, I pulled some out for the video so you could watch it feed and then set pins...
