However nor would I expect to loose my life savings when I had put it in a bank.....do you honestly expect us roll over and kiss goodbye to money that we have worked all our life for???? You should consider how much money the UK government has plunged itself into debt to support banks that has kept Manx people employed. The health agreement is odd, but maybe the Manx govt could appear to care rather than waiting months before deciding to call a meeting. The VAT agreement is Britain tightening its belt and giving us what we generate. The Manx govt know that and thats why they're not making a fuss. The isle of man with a finance sector could not be immune from recession

WHATEVER! My Standard Chartered and Lloyds International accounts - both held in Douglas ISLE OF MAN have been nicely accrueing interest for over a decade.
But you chose an Icelandic bank like KSF or something other loser organisation.
Why not have chosen a regular savings plan with Skandia or Friends Prov anyway - higher yield. Or even Generali in Geurnsey.

You seem confused; it's the UK which has your money, there is literally not a single thing the IOM can do about it. Your 'campaign' is completely focussed on the wrong target; the IOM cannot in any way pay out £550,000,000, that's simply impossible. That's like saying they're capable of putting a man on the moon. FictionalTruthProvider. YOU are so wrong. The UK has the bank's money, not the depositors' money. The IOM Gov allowed the UK to take the bank's money. Therefore it is upto the IOM to demand the money back from the UK. Unfortunately they choose not to. If the IOM chooses to do nothing towards recovering the money that THEY lost then the depositors' target is clearly justified. THE IOM LOST THE MONEY.
