Great video. You should always stand up for what you believe in and fight for what you hold true, regardless if it's something the government and brainwashed society frown upon.
The "Tryon Daily Bulletin" ran a great story on the dismissal in today's paper and we thank them for their in-depth coverage of these issues in the past. Both newspapers and TV 13 realized the seriousness of the actions of the Sheriff's Dept.
Thank you for celebrating with us this victory for our community!
I tied to accept the friendship offer that you sent this morning, I don't know what happened, as it just went "POOF" and disappeared! Could be computer SNAFUS or something weird going on with YouTube.
Google "Stoney's Rage", and it will take you to a link for my blog. I believe it's the first one on the list.
The link worked - we're friends, and it's good to know so many people in our community want our law enforcement officials to respect civil rights and the Constitution.
Polk County Sheriff Chris Abril is facing rape charges that were filed back in 2006! Yet he goes out and busts a peaceful citizen for supplying medical marijuana, and uses perjured testimony from "confidential informant" Charles Grady Shehan Jr to get search warrants, knowing they were based on a lie!
Today on June 24 2008, all charges were dismissed against Steve Marlowe after the judge ruled that deputies showed a "reckless disregard for the law"!!!!!
The charges against Steve Marlowe were dismissed by the District Attorney's Office late yesterday afternoon according to Steve's attorney Ben Scales!
It seems like there are still a few judges in Western North Carolina that still believe in the Bill of Rights!
You shouldn't be ashamed of growing cannabis. The government has brainwashed the people of this country and the world. The police run around trying to make criminals out of people who are not criminals. They should be locked up themselves. The plant has been used for thousands of years. It's not a crime to consume cannabis.
From The Editor - Yes, Steve's charges were dismissed, probably because of bogus warrant, plus Steve and Jean's willingness to fight for their rights, like good patriots. New charges could be filed by Grand Jury, but unlikely for same reasons.
New video will be up soon from the Marlowes, with more thoughts on this case and more.
Steve I really hope you get a lawyer. I've seen many of these cases and the judges often will not allow you to admit the evidence of who and why you were growing it. Bless you. You have shown much courage, you deserve freedom. I don't know if you know Ben Scales, a local NC folk artist (who played his song "Growing Marijuana in My Yard" at our Boston Freedom Rally) who I hear is also a lawyer but he should know some good lawyers in your area that specialize in these type of cases.
i should have the right to smoke somthing if i want to i don't smoke ciggerrettes i hate tobacco i love marijuana i don't have a medical condition but i don't care i smoke it because i want to, if i have a stomach or a sore i want to be able to smoke it and not feel bad and let it ruin my day, if every one smoked marijuana we would be a lot better off

"The Hendersonville Times News" had this story on the front page today! "The Tryon Bulletin" didn't even have it in the paper!
Both newspapers covered the arrest, and indictment! Only one covered the judicial findings of police misconduct and the dismissal of the charges!
The Tryon Bulletin is protecting an alleged rapist with a badge! They scream about the bust, but ignore when the man is freed!
I know what newspaper I'll be reading from now on!
