That was a beautiful fight. Cotto made some mistakes by not stepping in and pressuring following his counter punches. It could have placed Margarito on his back foot a few times, sapping some of his energy while reserving his own. He was also visibly over-hydrated after the weigh-in.

Yes you have a point there but thats only after the official weight-in, if he moves up that means that after he makes weight he has put on weight the following day, that would make him heavy, welterwieghts usually walk around up to 160 lbs, thats a big difference campare to Manny who comes from the lower weights but I would love to see Manny fight at welterweight his agressive style makes him unique.

If they fight again, all Cotto has to work on is his stamina/endurance and the fight is his! Don't act as if Margo wasn't catching a clinic from Cotto up untill the 9th! Cotto has never had to train for a fight where he's the one running,dodging & countering! A rematch will produce a finely tuned & experienced Cotto!

Cotto lost cause of Margaritos steel titanium chin if he had a normal chin he would have lost that fight easily in the early rounds. i watched the fight, cotto was out boxing him up until about round 7-8 then margarito figured out he could pass cottos defence with the left upper cut witch he landed repeatadedly to hurt cotto. cotto would let margarito throw flurrys then counter, but he just couldent hurt margarito, i reckon he just gave up in round 11 and new he couldnt beat him, if he woudnt of went down margarito would of kod him, he had loads left in the tank,cotto was spent and had no answer.

Ya no saben que decir, hace unos dias escuche que en Puerto Rico se rumuro que Margarito avia usado estereides, aquellos que les dolio la derrota de Cotto aprendan a perder bola de GUEYES !!!! yeah retiring was a stunt because hes waiting 4 the boxing public to anoint 1 of these punching bags, as pound 4 pound champ so he can come out of retirement and make his point by embarrassing 1 of these clowns, by giving them a good boxing lesson for 12 rounds.the fight will happen floyd is at the end of his career but hes only going to fight 4 max money.

MArgaritos chin was just to strong. Cotto fought a very good fight...but margaritos endurance is just too much. hopefully there will be a rematch. definitly dont wana see margarito vs lahoya cus lahoya would definitly get his ass torn. Floyd wants no parts of cotto or margarito .. esp after this fight.
