Which console is this on? I have it on SNES and the character doesn't look like that, but is in heavy, metal armour! also.. you chose stage 3 just for the music?! The gameplay in both stages is immense lol. It makes me want to hook my SNES up again, except I prefer playing this game with 2 players
@piccadillydave This IS the SNES version of the game. The U-NTSC version, to be precise. The EU release, which was called Super Probotector: Alien Rebels was heavily censored. In the mid '80s, the germans made a law against "violent" video games. So Konami decided to redraw some sprites in order to release the game for us EU folks.
The music for Stage 3 gives a certain "enemy territory" feeling to the stage. Stage 4 however, is more badass on it's own way. But overall, both stages are awesome.
Actually, this game has a few cheats (three, to be exact), but the US/EU versions doesn't have any of them, so that means only the JAP version have cheats (and I used the US version for recording).
No wait, i can tell this is normal cause the Red Soldier in the long weapon gun doesn't even shoots that fast but in hard they do and its difficult to avoid them...unless you got the skills to do it...
Nah, im not that cool, i just have the two key weapons (flametrowher, and homing missile). That's all:). And yes, this game's soundtrack truly fantastic (this level, for example).
By the way I have the UK version and it's called Alien Rebels

What was stage 3? It seems like a industrial district....
ToleranziaZero 1 year ago
@ToleranziaZero Yeah, it's an industrial distinct in Neo Kobe, a city from another Konami game called "Snatcher".

He probably thought flyings creatures would one-hit you but he doesn't know they only can grab you out of screen.

That, or at the part where I died, he didn't noticed that the life counter was at 03, not 00, because of the crappy quality of the movie.

The lv 3 is so nice, but the best music is from lv 4!
I think that!
But any way, nice video!

You're welcome. My favorite part is between 0:54-1:57. The music goes perfectly for that scene.

This has to be my favorite level in the whole game, because of the awesome music and scenarios you're in. Thanks for the upload.
