im from this town,used to work there when i was younger, its not an easy pilgrimage,theres a thing called the vigil that starts on the 2nd day which means u have to stay awake for 24 hours and do the rosary at night in the basillica,its ggod and i always say ill do it again but have not gone back yet!
Bring plenty of wearm clothes for the night that you have to stay up. Bring rain gear for doing the stations on the penitential beds outside. I just returned from there, it was my 4th time. It was tuff but met some nice people and very rewarding. Staying awake for the 24hr vigil is the hardest for me, I have no bother with the hungar as I can eat plenty of the oatmeal bread. Best of luck
