  • since when are england one of the big boys?? 1966,lol. and where the fuck is sloveeeeeeeeeenia, anywhere near slovenia. slovenia beat russia to qualify, who did usa beat??the bahamas?

  • @Love4SK yeah i would consider england a powerhouse considering they have one of the most talented teams top to bottom in the world, not to mention they are in the top 10 in the fifa rankings, where did i say "sloveeeeenia"?...im sorry but i dont speak NAZI dialect

  • Yeah I agree. He'll get his chance eventually, but for me it's just hard to see him sitting on the bench when we all know the guy is a super talent, but like you said we have a chemistry right now with the other guys in front of him. But gosh man I'm just dying to see him get out on the field and show what he can do.

  • he is a talent and it will be exciting to see what he can do for us in the future...i dont care about mls so im glad he is currently overseas...(atleast i think he still is)

  • Absolutely. The health of Onyewu is critical for us, as is Charlie Davies. Onyewu is a physical force on D, and Davies gives us great speed up front. Those two are extremely valuable to our team. What do you think about Freddy Adu? I would love to see him start getting some more minutes.

  • i know i love adu...but the thing is...the team's chemistry is basically at an all time high as far as the past 4 years go..and to be honest, he is kind of just a backup that would only see the pitch if one or two men in front of him went down...i dont see any playing time for him real soon and definately not in south africa...give him time though and he might emerge into a star...would love to see him play with how athletic he is, but just think we are too talented and deep right now

  • Just saw this vid when I replied to your comment. Interesting points you made and I am looking forward to the show down with the USA, should be a good match. Last few times we have beaten you, but you seem a better outfit now. You asked about Slovenia and Algeria, to be honest they are both very weak teams that basically staggered into the competition. England played Slovenia recently in a friendly and beat them 5 - 0. Think it will be the US and England going through. :-)

  • thanx man, yeah great draw for both of us...cant wait...should be interesting to see how we will play in the duel on the 12th...good luck to u guys

  • That's a great point man. That will definitely be something to think about going into next summer. As you said, the expectations were high last WC and they didn't live up to it.. However, with our draw this time, I think it will be much easier to live up to the hype.

  • very true as well, plus we have played better this last year with beating spain and the way we did against brazil in the confederations cup (like u mentioned) than we did in 05...first off, we have to get oguchi onyewu healthy and playing like he was in confed. cup....a healthy charlie davies would be nice as well...but overall, i trust bob bradley and landon donovan to lead us to the best performance we can have

  • man, VBM, i got to be honest with ya bro, if soccer was the only thing to ever be on television, i would give my tv away....i agree, USA got a good draw, but they will still suck ass. I just find soccer to be the most boring sport on earth...sorry man, just my honest feelings on the sport

  • i completely understand dude...thats why i warned everybody before they started to watch the vid...lol.....like i said before...all the soccer leagues both MLS and all the Premier leagues overseas, i could care less.....but if you actually sit down and watch two good teams battle it out in the world cup, its pretty entertaining especially when they go to the knockout rounds...because of the passion the fans have and its the only sport they basically have everywhere else but here

  • Totally agree man. I've been getting more and more excited about our chances in the World Cup just from how promising we looked this summer playing in the confederation cup when we upset Spain and SHOULD have beaten Brazil. I think we gained a lot of momentum, confidence, and respect from it. We might very well surprise a lot of people next summer

  • very true...the thing we better have learned is how to deal with expectations because they definately are going to be there again this summer...we just better deal with them better this time especially with the teams we will face...no excuse not to make past the group stages

  • Dude I care! haha I played soccer back in high school so I'm a huge fan of it. I can't wait til next summer either man there is nothing like the World Cup. I'm very pleased with our draw

  • sweet...its good to have someone else on here who likes the world cup......i cant wait either man....i absolutely love our draw...i went crazy when i saw we were with england....i guess thats the best team we could have been matched up with other than south africa obviously....maybe the netherlands but ill take the brits.....dont know anything about algeria or slovenia but i mean anything less than 4 points from those 2 teams is a complete and epic tragedy...looking good for us this tourney!
