him a Jedi, which squashes Dash Rendar. What Dash had that Kyle didn't is that he interacted with the regular SW characters like Luke, Han, Lando, Chewy, and Leia, whereas Kyle doesn't meet Luke till after ROTJ, when the primary story is over and just expanded universe.

I have a Dash Rendar figure with Kyle's guns, since his guns are better looking than Dash's. Dash was basically an upgrade on Kyle's character anyway, as they both have similar origins and are mercenaries for the rebellion. Dash however had a cooler ship, the Outrider, and was protrayed more like a space gunslinger and hotshot. Kyle's ship, the Moldy Crow, is actually just plain, and nothing like the Outrider. But they gave Kyle a beard, similar to Dash's as Kyle was clean-cut in DF, and made

I have Katarn, Jade and the rest of those figures from Dark Forces. I also have the new Katarn figure which blows the POTF2 EU version out of the water. The new figure is as close as we're ever gonna get to Jedi Knight 1 2 and 3 Katarn. I just completed mysteries of the sith 30 mins ago and I can say right then I friggin hated the sith temple catacombs level.

Kyle Katarn, Mara Jade, Space Trooper and Darktrooper were extremely rare in Australia when this wave was released. There were plenty of Admiral Thawns, Clone Emperors,lmperial Sentinels, and Luke Skywalkers. Leia was a little rarer than those main ones but still possible to find. Funny how the Darktrooper from that wave/collection wasnt even pictured on the back of the card along with all the others. Maybe he wasnt available wen that photo was taken, or they chose 2 leave him off to save room?

I think that they should make a new Kyle Katarn figure but make him look more like what he does in the games. I think they could do the same thing with the comic packs but have an old 1990's PC game with it. so they could have Dark Forces: Jedi Knight with Kyle Katarn and Jerec figures and other games like Rebel Assalt that would come with roucky 1 and Shadows of the Empire would come with Dash Rendar. i'm not a huge fan of power of the force figures, but if i got this i would've left the gun the way that it is. i mean no offense, but custom painting it is an insult to kenner. The gun is fine the way it is. Oh and by the way, do you think they should make a Kyle from Jedi outcast, lightsaber and all?

In Jedi Academy video game he's Jaden Korr's master (the one who stopped Diciples of Ragnos (they managed to ressurect Sith Lord Marka Ragnos that died 5000 years BBY but Jaden stoped them in battle on Corriban [sort of sith's cemetary]) and Tavion (old apprentice of Darth Dessan)

Yeah, Dark Forces and X-Wing were among the very first games I laid my hands on. Spend countless hours with Kyle.

Only problem I had with him, was the dude playing him in DF2:JK. I was actually releaved that he was not in MotS.

Great review... but somehow I dont recall him being dressed like your figure. The coloured rocketlauncher is really cool though.

I haven't yet figured out why we haven't seen an updated Katarn figure. That would be awesome. I loved the Jedi Knight games.
