I was fortunate enough to see this tour in NYC at Town Hall, and it was staggering. Truly the greatest moment of live music in my life, of which there have been many.

Saw them play live in Portland, OR, USA, in the mid 1990s. The greatest musical experience I've ever had. One of those experiences that transcends boundaries. I found myself moving in response to their music and covered in goose-bumps. I found myself hugging a girl next to me, both of us so full of the power of the music. Nodding goodbye to people when I left...with the other lover of music and peak experiences.

There is no better moment where an artist does what they do for their art. Lisa and her musicians topped all expectations in this recording. I cannot help but to weep all the way through this performance of Cantara. I will, after all things, die a happy man with this in my memory.

This version of Cantara lights a fire in my soul. Its chaos, its love, fear, and strength. No song touches me like this one does. Though they did not play Cantara, I had the ridiculous pleasure of seeing them in Concert in Boston 5 or so years ago, they played alot from Baraka, and a select few from their other Cds. Lisa was a trooper, as she was sick with the flu, but she performed and was unbelievable anyways :)))

For me Lisa Gerrard has something special (of course that's pretty obvious) that most people do not see, or do not want to. I saw DCD in concert several years ago, and I can say honestly, it was the most pure musical experience I've ever had. Tears were streaming down my face most of the time.

This music is not for everyone, but the people that were with me also had a similar reaction. It's so powerful; spiritual in a way, as one felt such reverence with this music and all the people in the audience. You could hear a pin drop in between songs. Brendan asked at one point, "Is anyone out there?". Just beautiful.
