@lovemylabradoodle22 There is a pretty big range of flutes. There are flutes that are even bigger than a bass flute, called a subcontrabass flute. You have to play it standing up (or sitting on a stool) since it's shaped like a 4. It sounds two octaves (I think) below the bass flute. I remember trying these at flute conventions in the past, and they were way fun!

@pebblefrog196 yeah basses tend to be two octaves below a soprano. The "bass" flute is pitched as low as a viola, and other tenor instruments like the Tenor saxophone, Tenor singers, and the like. A bass is another octave below that, which includes Cello(once a bass violin, not the double bass), Bass Saxophone, Bass Singers, and the rest with that term. So the term bass flute completley goes against any normal range of instruments, I wonder why?
